Criminal Minds
Haley Cutrell
September 29, 2015
Note: The following observations are from the television series Criminal Minds. These observations
took place during the first 30 minutes of the 45 minute television show. I observed the first three
episodes of season one, Extreme Aggressor, Compulsion, and Wont Get Fooled Again.
Background Information
The television series, Criminal Minds, is a show about murderers and the murders that have taken place.
These murders are usually caused by serial killers which is why the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) gets
called in to analyze the murder(s). The BAU specifically profiles a person. Profiling means that they
analyze why the killer is killing the people they are. Profiling also can figure out the race, gender, and
even the age of the unknown subject (the unsub) who is the killer.
Figured World is the society a certain community is a part of in this figured world there are
certain rules and ways that the society abides to.
Criminal Minds is about murders that are committed, but the group (Behavioral Analysis Unit)
that is solving the murders specifically like to analyze people. It always interests me when someone from
the unit analyzes a person above and beyond what I would ever figure out from what I have seen so far.
The unit figures out why a person is murdering the way they are and what is driving them to commit these
murders. The purpose of this TV series is to solve murders as well as analyze or evaluate the criminal(s).
Activities in this TV series include what crime the criminal commits, analyzation of people, and solving
the murders. In this setting it is not abnormal to potentially pull guns on people, to see people being
kidnapped, to see people being attacked, thrown into jail, or even seeing someone killed. These
conventions are normal because these TV shows are based on crimes committed. Usually if someone for
example is a police officer, it is normal for a police officer to be able to arrest someone, take someone to
jail, etc., because that is what they do for their job, they protect the society we live in. Likewise this unit
that is trying to analyze the criminals as well as solve the murder cases presented to them are trying to
protect the society as well as get rid of the criminal. Throughout Criminal Minds, it is typical to see
communication through a phone, a computer, or through the news media. By choosing Criminal Minds as
my topic of interest I plan to pay more attention to the smaller details that I probably never noticed had a
connection with the case. I plan to get close into details and maybe even work together with the
community to learn more about the TV series.
Actors are people that have a specific role that they play in the community. An actor can have a
different multiple different roles in different communities. For example, a man might be a father in
one community, but a boss in another community.

Aaron Hotchner is the unit chief of the BAU team (under the director). Hotchner typically is the
one to call the shots for the team. Hotchner is a strong member of the BAU and is key to
making the team as successful as it is.
Penelope Garcia is the mind behind the technology. If anyone in the BAU needs technological
help such as cracking into a computer or finding details about a potential suspect, Garcia is the

one to help. She is very quick at what she does. She is very cheerful and keeps the team in a
positive mood.
Jason Gideon has suffered from PTSD and has been teaching profiling classes since he was
diagnosed (6 months) until recently the team needed Gideon on the field. Gideon is a very precise
profiler and is able to figure out what makes someone do what they do very easily. Gideon is
always thinking ahead and is able to focus to get the job done.
Spencer Reid is the genius of the group. Hes only in his twenties, but he already has three PhDs.
He knows anything about everything and this helps the way he is able to profile as well as solve
cases that the rest of the team may not have thought about. Reid was specifically hand-picked by
Agent Gideon to be on the BAU.
Derek Morgan has had a history with a bomb squad and is a very strong member of the BAU.
He is more of the physical side of the team but still helps with the profiling.
Jennifer JJ Jareau is the news media specialist of the team. She specifically is the one who
will go on the news and warn the society what is happening and what to avoid. She is an
understanding person and this helps her consult with the families of the victims.
Elle Greenaway is a new member of the BAU team. She is trying to prove herself to the team to
note that she is worthy of the position she has earned.

Artifacts have a specific significance to the culture or to an individual of the community whether it
is by a physical object, an emotion, or an idea.

Gideons PTSD is affecting the way he is being able to focus on his job of profiling people.
Sometimes he can get stuck in the moment of his PTSD but he is quickly able to snap out of
this moment and focus back to profiling the suspect. Sometimes being in the field of the BAU
team can trigger a PTSD attack. Sometimes the team is put in a situation where they are
potentially being shot at and this can easily trigger the PTSD.
The name Gideon is Hebrew for the one who hacks down enemies. In the beginning Hotchner
and his wife are trying to find a name for his son and his wife says the name Gideon. The name
Gideon is used in the show way before Agent Gideon is shown on the series. The use of his name
can be looked at as foreshadowing what Agent Gideon will do in the show. Gideon, just like what
his name means, hacks down the enemies (or unsubs) with the way he thinks and profiles. This
allows the BAU team to achieve their goal of catching the unsub.
The Reid Affect typically happens with children and dogs. The Reid Affect happens when Agent
Reid comes in contact with children or dogs. When this was first mentioned in the TV series,
Reid is coming in contact with a dog. The dog begins to bark and see Reid as a threat. Hotchner
describes to the dogs owner that this is simply the Reid Affect and it happens all the time.

Communities of Practice are groups of people that share an interest or a common way of life such
as habits or ways of communicating and want to learn more about this specific interest.

Behavioral Analysis Unit is a team composed of Hotchner, Gideon, Jareau, Morgan, Reid, Elle,
and Garcia. This team works together to achieve one goal: to profile and catch the criminal. If this
team did not work together, the team would more than likely not get much accomplished to
protect the society and catch the criminal.
FBI or any type of police unit that helps the Behavioral Analysis Unit is also a community of
practice used in Criminal Minds. These teams help one another to search for the unsub (unknown
subject). These teams work together to achieve the goal(s) that the BAU has.

Domain is what the community is specifically interested in. A domain is what helps people in a
community learn from one another. The domain is a group effort and is not based on one specific
person. The group or community works together to get to one goal which is learning more about
their interest.

Profiling is a domain that the BAU shares. In the dictionary, profiling is defined as the
recording and analysis of a person's psychological and behavioral characteristics, so as to assess
or predict their capabilities in a certain sphere or to assist in identifying a particular subgroup of
people. The BAU team is trying to achieve profiling to help understand the suspect. Profiling
can help understand what is causing the suspect to do what they are doing. It can also help
understand what type of person the suspect is looking for, or it might even help the team to
understand when the suspect may strike again.
Catching a suspect is another domain the BAU team shares. By using the domain stated above,
the BAU team has a greater chance of catching the suspect. The team then works together to
figure out who this suspect could be and begun to question and analyze potential suspects.

Practices of the Community are activities taken to learn more about the interest or activities taken
to achieve the goal the community is trying to reach for.

Profiling is not only a domain, but it is also a practice of the community. This is practiced in
every case that is seen by the BAU. It is their job as a team to come together and figure out a
profile for the unsub. Profiling allows the BAU to achieve the goal of figuring out who the unsub
is which leads them closer to arresting the unsub and solving the case.
Hacking is a practice of the community specifically for Penelope Garcia. In almost every case
there will be some type of hacking whether it is hacking into someones computer, email, or even
there social network. Garcia is able to typically hack into anything she needs to relatively easily.
Being able to hack into practically anything is very useful to the community so that they are able
to get a more accurate profile as well as get more evidence.

Literary Practices are ways people communicate. These ways of communication can be spoken or
written. Examples of everyday literary practices vary from texting, email, and phone calls to one on
one conversations.

Cell Phones are used to communicate with one another on the Behavioral Analysis Unit team.
They are typically used to inform the team of a case. They are also used in urgent situations such
as when someone in the team is chasing a suspect and they need backup. Cell phones are a very
important means of communications for the BAU.
News Media is a key component when it comes to a crime. The news media is always trying to
get specific information to warn the public but sometimes this can hurt a case so the BAU has to
be careful with what information they give to the news. The BAU has a specific team member
who consults with the news media and makes sure the correct information is shared.

Observation One Extreme Aggressor (Season 1 Episode 1)

3:00 mins. A woman by the name of Heather is having an online conversation with a man trying to sell a
car known as Z. They converse about selling the car and taking a test drive and Heather agrees to meet
him. While test driving the man offers for her to look under the hood of the car before she entered the
passenger seat. Once back in the passenger seat, the man selling the car takes away the lock of the car so
Heather is unable to unlock the car and get out. Once Heather realizes what is going on, the man knocks
her out.
5:00 mins. The show flashes to all the BAU detectives before they are called in for the new case. BAU
(Behavioral Analysis Unit) Detective Hotchner is with his wife and they are trying to find a name for their
unborn child while building a crib. BAU detective Derek Morgan is out getting drinks with 3 trainees
gets phone call about victim. BAU detective Gideon is teaching a class on profiling while BAU Reid
walks in class to get Gideons attention about the new case. Once the messages were gone from Heathers
computer screen her hard drive was wiped and a message came across her screen that said, For heavens
sake catch me before I kill more I cannot control myself. These words had been seen before in a familiar
case so they BAU already knew Heather would only have about 36 hours to live. The BAU rode the jet
over to Seattle, Washington where the kidnapping took place. While on the ride there, the BAU unit
began to profile the unsub based on the information of the previous cases that had the same quote.
7:00 mins. Heather is in a cage with tape over her eyes and cloth in her mouth shes chained and the
unsub begins to clip her fingernails. The BAU finds four other bodies that have similar links and the BAU
believes this kidnapping is linked to those deaths. The BAU detectives head over to the last crime scene
where they found Anne Cushion. She was strangled with a belt but she was clothed which shows signs of
remorse. The unsub also covers the eyes of their victims so they are unable to see the killer.
11:00 mins. Detectives Reid and Hotchner are at Heathers home. Heathers brother is there to feed
Heathers dog, but the dog wont eat (he senses something is wrong).
13:00 mins. The BAU profiles the unsub as white, late twenties, someone you wouldnt notice blends
in, violent nature previous criminal record, organized killer, smart only physical evidence you find is
what he wants you to find, sexually inadequate (rape but doesnt penetrate), history of paranoia (family
related), he has a sense of power and control, (Gideon believes he has already been interviewed).
15:00 mins. A lady is house sitting and she comes home to find the door wide open and the lights arent
working. She goes to a neighbor and asks if someone can come with her to check out the house. An old
lady yells for Richard. The lady and Richard search the house and an FBI unit is hiding in the house with
guns the lady is with the FBI unit (Elle who is a new member of the BAU unit) and Richard Slessman is
arrested. They search the house Richard came from. Richard doesnt have defensive wounds so
somethings missing. Richards room is decorated for a boy not a man. Reid notices a game known as Go
or Way Chi in Chinese which is played and shows psychological and personality details. Reid is able to
discover that Richard has an extreme aggressor personality. The BAU needs more information on Richard
and they attempt to break in to Richards computer
20:00 mins. Gideon interviews Richard because Richard has Gideons book and newspaper clipping.
Gideon and Hotchner notice there are conflicts with the profile. They realize there are two different
behaviors, two different people, which means there has to be a second unsub.

Commented [HE1]: Definitely add some photos of the

significant characters/action throughout the
show. While I was reading your observations, I kept
picturing some of these scenes, so having a visual
reference would be really useful. You may consider
using the slideshow feature in Wix to add a running
selection of relevant photos; this will add both to your
assignment one and the overall course portfolio.
Ashlyn

24:00 mins. The BAU unit is looking for someone with a dominant authority because Richard is
submissive. The unit believes the second unsub is someone who showed Richard how to be an extreme
aggressor. They believe it could have been someone that helped Richard out and Richard believes he
owes this person.
25:00 mins. Derek Morgan contacts Penelope Garcia, a computer hacker for the FBI, to try and get help
to get a password for Richards computer which has a Deadbolt Defense (#1 crack resistant). Penelope
tells Derek that in order to get a password, they are going to need to get inside Richards head. Hotchner
begins to interview Richards grandmother to try and figure out what friends he has and who could have
made Richard feel like he owes them to the point of killing someone. The grandmother comes up with
the name Charlie. Charlie was Richard Slessmans old cellmate.
26:00 mins. Derek Morgan is trying to reenact what Richard does with his life to see if he can figure out
the password to his computer. Morgan and Reid specifically look for a CD that Richard plays the most.
Meanwhile, Gideon and Elle find out about Charlie who was found dead two months ago while visiting
the prison Richard and Charlie were in. While in the prison, Elle and Gideon find an officer that helped
Richard out while Richard was there in prison. The guards name was Timothy Vogel who would protect
Richard. The detectives noticed something important on the keys the guard was carrying. There was a Z
hanging from his keychain which represented the car that Heather was trying to buy when she got
kidnapped. Gideon and Elle put the connections together and waiting for Timothy to leave. Once they see
Timothys car they decide to follow him. After following him for a little while, the detectives stop the car,
but instead of Timothy it was Timothys co-worker. Timothy and his co-worker switched cars (Timothy
got a truck) and Gideon believes he will be going to dump the body.
29:00 mins. Reid and Morgan are still trying to figure out the password Richard would have used, and
Reid opens the CD port on the side of the computer and a CD comes out (only empty case).

Observation Two Compulsion (Season 1 Episode 2)

1:00 mins. Gideon is at a convenient store when the cashier has a stutter (something mentioned before in
one of Gideons classes). The two stare at one another before Gideon turns to walk away. As Gideon is
walking away, the cashier begins to walk towards him with a shotgun and proceeds to tell Rossi to take
his gun out and throw it. The cashier hits Gideon in the back of the leg and Rossi is then thrown against a
wall. The cashier asks, Who are you? Who are you? Rossi responds with FBI. Rossi continues to tell
the cashier with the gun that he knows he murders, he knows who he murders, he knows that the cashier
cant stop murdering, and he also knows why the cashier stutters.
5:00 mins. Jennifer Jareau or JJ introduces herself to Elle who is new to the BAU. JJ is the liaison she
specifically deals with the media side of these crimes. The BAU gets a new case about a fire at a college
campus. (Bradshaw College)

9:00 mins. The BAU goes to the campus and check out the crime scene. The serial arsonist couldnt see
the victim but they could hear the screams of the victim. The victim is also getting his supplies from
places on campus (such as the chemistry lab and the grounds keeping facility). If the unsub keeps his
pattern, he will be setting a fire today (the day after he gets the items he needs to set the fire). Why did he
set a fire he couldnt watch? The arsonist started the fire on the third floor. Usually, if you wanted to start
a fire for the whole building, it would be started in the basement and the upper levels would act like a fuel
to the fire, unless this building wasnt the initial building the unsub wanted to catch on fire.
11:00 mins. Serial arsonists like to manipulate authority. BAU detective Gideon begins to see a student
smoking, and a water fountain that doesnt appear to be working. A professor goes to his office and there
is a liquid on the floor at the door. The professor opens this door while Agent Gideon pulls the fire alarm
to get everyone out of the building because he senses something is wrong. The professor turns on the light
which begins a fire inside the light bulb which makes the light bulb burst thus possibly blinding the
professor. Agent Gideon hears the screams of the professor and goes up to where he is and tries to save
him but Agent Morgan pulls him away from the flames before Gideon is killed also.
14:00 mins. Agent Hotchner gives Elle a camera and orders her to take pictures of as many people as
possible just in case the unsub might be there. A boy named Jeremy comes to the Deans Office (hes a
research assistant in the science lab). Jeremy along with a few others want to help and claim they know
how the arsonist committed the fire. The agents are trying to figure out what is driving his desire for
starting the fires.
17:00 mins. Agent Gideon is stopped by campus security and is asked for his ID. The security is
intrigued with Gideons position to profile someone and Gideon begins to profile the security a little bit
by bringing up his girlfriend and the way he carries himself.
18:00 mins. Reid begins to talk to some of the students that are willing to help the BAU. The students
grab a light bulb and show the BAU that by drilling a hole into a light bulb and filling it with anything
flammable can cause a fire when the light bulb is turned on.
21:00 mins. Someone calls the Bradshaw College hotline and says in a modified voice, Karen, I do this
for Karen. Penelope analyzes the voice to try to get the background noise out while the rest of the BAU
interviews Karens on campus.
24:00 mins. Agent Gideon is searching the chemistry lab looking at things that might be out of the
ordinary when the campus security is back. Gideon notices the necklace is gone and asks if he broke up
with his girlfriend, and the guard responds that he wanted to date someone different, a guy by the name of
Brian. His girlfriend continued to tell him that homosexuality is a sin and he will incur the wrath of God.
Gideon repeats the words wrath of God, and runs off.
25:00 mins. Penelope Garcia believes the unsub isnt saying the word Karen but something along the
lines of kirone which is Hebrew for Gods burning anger. The motive is now to be religious. The BAU
now believes the unsub could be a theology major trying to punish everyone for their sins.
27:00 mins. Reid re-watches the original video that shows the first campus death by fire. He tries to think
outside the box. Reid sees the knob is turned three times, and the professors office was number three.
Reid figures out the unsub has a severe problem with OCD a type of OCD that has to do with religion.
The unsub does everything in threes and Reid believes he will have to kill again. The unsub is trying to do
something to relieve this anxiety such as setting fires.

Observation Three Wont Get Fooled Again (Season 1 Episode 3)

1:00 min. A man is sitting in his car outside of a home watching. Another man comes out of the home
carrying a box and heads towards his car. The man sitting inside his car gets out and begins to come
towards the man with the box. The two know one another and the man that was inside the car begins to
ask the man with the box why he hasnt been returning his calls. The man sets the box on the car while
attempting to find his keys and unlock his car while conversing with the other man. The man that was
previously sitting in the car seems angered and says that he wont be blown off again and next time it will
get ugly and proceeds to walk away. As the man walks away the man with the box picks up the box and
begins to get in his car when the box explodes the man that was originally sitting in his car his thrown to
the ground and the man with the box is screaming in agony as his car is in flames.
2:00 mins. This was the second bomb to go off in a local neighborhood. The BAU team immediately
begins to analyze this case and finds out that the suspect who made these bombs had to hand deliver them
because any turn of the box makes the bomb go off. The BAU team is watching a news report analyzing
what happened previously that morning. They decide to tell Homeland Security that these bombs are
everywhere. While the news anchor is giving the story, another bomb goes off in the background.
4:00 mins. Agent Morgan shares his concerns with Agent Hotchner that Agent Gideon will have another
PTSD attack. Hotchner tells Morgan that right now they need to focus on profiling who the unsub could
be. The three bombings happened within three miles of one another. Only one has survived so far
Claireman. Bombers, according to the BAU team, are typically male loners with a criminal background.
5:00 mins. The BAU team has arrived at the second crime scene the one where there was a survivor.
The team is trying to figure out why Claireman didnt bring in the package like everyone else and why the
bomb didnt go off until it was at least 50 feet away from his home. The BAU team thinks that Claireman
might have been on his way to delivering the package but he was in a rush and tilted the box making it go
off.
6:00 mins. The bomb fragments are sent to Agent Morgan who is going to put the pieces back together.
He says that how a bomb is put together can show how the unsub thinks. The type of thread and powder
that was used had to be used very carefully because if any of the powder hit the thread, then it would have
exploded killing the unsub, but if the unsub made the bomb more carefully, then it wouldnt have been as
deadly. The unsub is out to kill.
8:00 mins. The ATF (related to bombs) as well as the BAU team are searching the Clairmans home to
look for objects that might have been used to make the bombs. Mrs. Clairman comes home and is
questioning what everyone is doing in her home. Agent Hotchner explains that they need to check their
home in order to make sure Mr. Clairman had nothing to do with the bombings. The ATF found a box
that had a book in it called The Anarchists Companion and the box also had tools to assist in whatever
he would plan to make.
10:00 mins. A few members of the BAU team head down to the hospital to question Mr. Clairman. Mr.
Clairman believed the box had a pot for his orchard in it because he collects them. He was going to take it
to work and use it there. Mr. Clairman had made a deal with a bunch of people for building condos. This
ended up letting a lot of people down because of a geologist that ripped everyone off. Agent Gideon and
Agent Reid believe that Mr. Clairman cant be the bomber based on the way he responded and the
answers he gave, however, they are still willing to test the materials in the box that Mr. Clairman has with
what the bomber actually used.

12:00 mins. Agent Elle finds a picture of Mr. Clairman with his 12 year old nephew and suspects that the
nephew could possibly be the unsub. He had been living with the Clairmans for a while and left a week
ago.
13:00 mins. Agent Morgan along with Penelope Garcia are almost finished resembling the bomb and are
looking for the signature that typically a bomber has. The team can send the bomb in and see if it
compares to any bombs they have already dealt with. Penelope figures out where a piece of a rod was
intended to go and Agent Morgan figures out who built this bomb someone already in federal prison for
life (Bale). The police also question the Clairmans nephew and he confesses that the box that was found
at the Clairmans home is his.
15:00 mins. The profile of the unsub: someone who in non-confrontational if you bumped into him he
would apologize even if it wasnt his fault, highly-organized, very intelligent, attacks arent random. This
unsub made bombs to kill and placed them specifically. He has a direct motive.
17:00 mins. The lab results return and show what powder was used and it is the exact same powder
mixture that Bale would use. Bale originally wrote addresses in block letters with blue ink on the boxes.
Agent Morgan believes the unsub isnt building the bombs but is forging the bombs instead. JJ is going to
set up a press conference with the news media to make sure the public is on the lookout for these things.
19:00 mins. Agent Gideon goes down to the prison where Bale is kept to visit him. JJ gives the press
conference to warn the people in Florida. A woman receives a brown package and her daughter goes
outside to claim it. Her daughter asks if she wants to bring it in but before she can say no the daughter has
already picked it up. The mom fortunately saw the press release and called the ATF and they were able to
come before the bomb exploded.
24:00 mins. Agent Reid finds out that Bale has an email and has been able to access a computer. Garcia is
able to follow what he does on the computer and he sends out a warning to people interested in making
bombs. Reid asks Garcia to get a list of people who have been on that website in the last month.
26:00 The BAU team gets a suspect a man by the name of David Walker. He is an antiquitys dealer
which has to do with collecting coins and getting an appraisal for them. This has to do with the first
victim who collected coins. Agent Elle is currently on her way to get some coins appraised by David
Walker when she gets a phone call from Hotchner saying that David Walker is the suspect. Elle is with
Davids wife while walking back to his workshop to get the coins checked when they hear a car. A car
busts through the garage door and hits Davids wife while Elle proceeds to shoot at the car while it drives
away.
27:00 mins. Hotchner and Elle begin to look in Davids office. They see where David was working on a
coin to change the date to make it more valuable something he did with the first victims coins. They
then see newspaper clippings of Bale and he writes that he is the best. Walker was currently working on
making a bomb before he left and cops are on the lookout for him. Hotchner wants to make it known that
David Walker is smart and dangerous. He also wants the police to know that David has nothing to lose.
29:00 mins. Morgan and Garcia have all of Bales emails and are searching through them in hopes to
figure out what might be Davids next move since David does seem to copy Bale. The BAU team realizes
why Walker began the killings. He originally owned a shop that sold coins, maps, and historical
documents. He had sold the first victim some coins which were fake. The victim threatened to out him
and he wanted to shut her up.

Interview
This interview was conducted in order to get a different perspective on this specific figured world. I
interviewed a close friend, Valerie OHare. She originally introduced me to this television series and ever
since I have been hooked. I chose her because I knew she truly enjoys the show and I knew she could give
me concrete answers that would benefit my observations.
Q: Discuss what made you interested in this TV show.
A: Its really intense and dramatic. Theres a lot of action and it keeps you hooked.
Q: How did you find out about the show?
A: I was at my aunts house in Pittsburgh and we were watching the Ball drop for New Years. The
television was left on after the ball dropped and a Criminal Minds episode came on. After watching this
first show, I was hooked and have watched it ever since. I even remember which episode it was.
Q: What was the first episode you watched?
A: There was a child that was thought to be kidnapped, but that child was actually killed by his brother.
His brother ended up shoving plane parts down his brothers throat, killing him.
Q: Why do you continue to watch the show?
A: Because it is very interesting. At the end of every season its like a to be continued type of show
so you have to wait until next season to see what happens. It always seems like a main character is about
to be killed and you have to see if they make it when the next season comes out. There are always cliff
hangers throughout the show and you just have to keep watching. Theres always a different plot so it
isnt always the same types of murders being committed. The show has different angles and are able to
keep it interesting.
Q: Would you recommend someone watch this show? Why?
A: Heck yes, because its really intense and it kind of teaches life morals and how some of these people
really act. It teaches us to be careful of strangers because you never know if a person can be crazy just
like the people in some of the Criminal Minds episodes.
Q: How often do you watch the show?
A: Religiously. Well, a little bit less now because I finished all the seasons on Netflix (before new ones
were added) and I began a new series on Netflix and now Im tied between the two series. If I wasnt
watching the other series, I would be watching Criminal Minds every day.
Q: What is your favorite part of the show? Why?
A: I like seeing how they can get inside the criminals minds. It almost makes me want to be a profiler
because it is so cool to see how they can figure out what age, race, gender, what the unsub has been
through, etc. without even seeing the unsub.
Q: Whos your favorite character and why?
A: Can I have a guy and a girl?

Commented [HE2]: Give us a bit more context about

the person that you chose to interview for this
project. In a short summary at the beginning of the
interview (3-4 sentences max) tell us who you
interviewed, why you chose this person, and how this
interview impacted your observations.
Ashlyn

Guy: Reid because he is so precious and smart, but he is so nave at the same time. I think its funny
how he has the highest IQ out of everyone on the team, but he is the most nave. I think its interesting to
see how much less nave he has gotten from the beginning of the series to the end.
Girl: Penelope Garcia because she is precious in every way possible. Shes always the positive person
throughout the show. Also her relationship with Derek Morgan is perfect.
