Abstract:-

Agriculture and household waste is a serious environmental and economical concern all
around the world .It has become a global threat to the environment and health due to its
inappropriate disposal in the developing countries. The anaerobic digestion of organic
materials has proved to be an efficient process to handle such type of food waste. Biogas is a
clean source of energy which comprises of about 60% methane. It has been used as a source
of fuel for lighting and cooking purposes. The conventional biogas plant has certain
drawbacks related to its construction, landscape and maintenance. The project focuses on
solving the problems related to the conventional biogas plant by developing a portable biogas
plant in the college premises.
