are adopted.
The design ground acceleration is ag=IagR=0.1054g > 0.08g. It is case of high
seismicity, seismic design procedures shall be adopted.
3.2.2

Design Horizontal Superimposed or Wind Load.

Lateral loads acting on floor level will be taken as the greater of the following:
i)

1.5% of the total characteristic dead load (which shall include super-imposed
dead load) acting at the respective floor level at ultimate limit state.

ii) The project is located in HCMC, the II-A area with basic 3-second gust mean
wind pressure W0=83daN/m with a return period of 20 years.
The value W0=83kgf/m is equivalent to:
o a basic 3-second gust mean wind speed of 37m/s at 10m height over
reference level with a return period of 20 years according to
TCVN2737:1995.
o or a basic 10-minute gust mean wind speed of 28.57m/s at 10m height over
reference level with a return period of 50 years according to QCVN02:2009.
