LITURGY OF THE WORD

FIRST READING
A Reading from the Book of Genesis 2:1824
Then The Lord God said: " It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a
suitable partner for him." So The Lord God formed out of the ground various wild
animals and various birds of the air, and he brought them to the man to see what he
would call them; whatever the man called each of them would be its name. The man
gave names to all the cattle, all the birds of the air, and all the wild animals; but
none proved to be the suitable partner for the man.
So The Lord God cast a deep sleep on the man, and while he was asleep, he took one
of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. The Lord God then built up into a
woman the rib that he had taken from the man. When he brought her to the man,
the man said: " This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh from my flesh; This
one shall be called 'woman', for out of 'her man' this one has been taken." That is
why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them
become one body.
Reader: The word of The Lord.
All: Thanks be to God.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM
(Psalm 128)
Reader: Let our response be: Happy are those who fear The Lord.
All: Happy are those who fear The Lord.
Reader: Happy are those who fear The Lord, who walk in his ways!
For you shall eat the fruit of your handiwork; happy shall you be, and
favored.
All: Happy are those who fear The Lord.
Reader: Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the recess of your home;
Your children like olive plants around your table.
All: Happy are those who fear The Lord.
Reader: Behold, thus is the man blessed who fears The Lord.
The Lord bless you from Zion: may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all
the days of your life.
All: Happy are those who fear The Lord.
SECOND READING
A Reading From The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians 5:2a,2133
Brothers and sisters: Live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us.
Be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives should be
subordinate to their husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is head of his wife just
as Christ is head of the Church, he himself the savior of the body. As the Church is
subordinate to Christ, so wives, should be subordinate to their husbands in

everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the Church and handed
himself over for her to sanctify her, cleansing her by the bath of water with the
word, that he might present to himself the Church in splendor, without spot or
wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. So also
should husbands love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves
himself. For no one hates his own flesh but rather nourishes and cherishes it, even as
Christ does the Church, because we are members of his Body. For is reason a man
shall leave his fathers and Motherwell and be joined to his wife, and the two shall
become one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and the
Church. In any case, each one of you should love his wife as himself, and the wife
should respect her husband.
Reader : The word of The Lord.
All: Thanks be to God.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
All: Alleluia!
GOSPEL
John 2:111
Fr. Rony: The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.
Fr. Rony: A reading from the holy Gospel according to John.
All: Glory to you, O Lord.
Fr. Rony: There was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short,
the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no more wine." And Jesus said to her,
"Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come." His mother
said to the servers, "Do whatever he tells you." Now there were six stone jars there
for Jewish ceremonial washing, each holding twenty to thirty gallons.
Jesus told them, " Fill the jars with water." So they filled them to the brim. Then he
told them, " Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter." So they took it. And
when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing
where it came from (although the servants who had drawn the water knew), the
headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, " Everyone serves good wine
first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the
good wine until now." Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee
and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him.
The Gospel of The Lord.
All: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

every petition we will say:
Lord, hear our prayer.

be faithful in her mission of spreading the Good News of our salvation and Christ's
love for us. We pray.

instruments in protecting the family and defend life at all cost. We pray.
All: Lord, hear our prayer.

Fr.Rony: God, our Father, look down with favor upon your servants (bride and
grooms names). Grant them to remain faithful to you and to one another. At the
end of a long and wellspent life, reward them with eternal happiness, together with
their children and with all those who love them. Through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.
NUPTIAL BLESSING
Fr. Rony: My dear friends let us turn to The Lord and pray that he will bless with his
grace this woman(brides name) now married in Christ to this man(grooms name) and
that through the sacrament of the body and blood of Christ he will unite in love the
couple he has joined in this holy bond.
Father, by your power you have made everything out of nothing. In the beginning
you created the universe and made mankind in your own likeness.
You gave man the constant help of woman so that man and woman should no longer
be two, but one flesh, and you teach us that what you have united may never be
divided.
Father, you have made the union of man and woman so holy a mystery that it
symbolizes the marriage of Christ and his Church.
Father, by your plan, man and woman are united, and married life has been
established as the one blessing that was not forfeited by original sin or washed away
in the flood.
Look with love upon this woman, (brides name), your daughter, now joined to her

husband, (grooms name), in marriage, she asks for your blessing. Give her the grace
of love and peace. May she always follow the example of the holy women whose
praises are sung in the Scriptures.
May her husband put his trust in her and recognize that she is his equal and an heir
with him to the life of grace. May he always honor her and love her as Christ loves
His bride, the Church.
Father, keep them always true to your commandments. Keep them faithful in
marriage and let them be living examples of Christian life.
Give them the strength which comes from the Gospel, so that they may be witnesses
of Christ to others. Bless them with children and help them to be good parents. May
they live to see their children's children and, after a happy old age, grant them
fullness of life with the saints in he Kingdom of heaven. Through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.
LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST
OFFERTORY PROCESSION
PREPARATION OF THE GIFTS
Fr. Rony: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we
have received the bread we offer you; fruit of the earth and work of human hands, it
will become the bread of life.
All: Blessed be God for ever.
Fr. Rony: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we
have received this wine we offer you; fruit of the vine and work of human hands, it
will become our spiritual drink.
All: Blessed be God for ever.
Fr. Rony: Pray, brethren, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the
almighty Father.
All: May The Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his
name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.
PRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS
Fr. Rony: Receive, we pray, O Lord, the offering made on the occasion of the sealing
of the sacred bond of Marriage between (Groom) and (Bride) and, just as your
goodness is its origin, may your providence guide its course. Through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.
PREFACE
Fr. Rony: The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.
Fr. Rony: Lift up your hearts.
All: We lift them up to The Lord.

Fr. Rony: Let us give thanks to The Lord our God.

All: It is right and just.
Fr. Rony: It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere
to give you thanks, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God. For you have forged
the covenant of marriage as a sweet yoke of harmony and an unbreakable bond of
peace, so that the chaste and fruitful love of holy Matrimony may serve to increase
the children you adopt as your own. By your providence and grace, O Lord, you
accomplish the wonder of this twofold design: that, while the birth of children brings
beauty to the world, their rebirth in Baptism gives increase to the Church, through
Christ our Lord. Through him, with the Angels and all the Saints, we sing the hymn of
your praise, as without end we acclaim.
SANCTUS
Fr. Rony and All: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of
your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of The Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
CONSECRATION
Fr. Rony: You are indeed Holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness. Make holy,
therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your spirit upon them like dew fall,
so that they may become for us the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. At the
time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his Passion, he took bread and,
giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: "TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU,
AND EAT OF IT, FOR THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU."
In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice and, once
more giving thanks, he gave it to this disciples, saying: " TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND
DRINK FROM IT, FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THE NEW
ETERNAL COVENANT, WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY FOR
THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME."
Fr. Rony: The mystery of Faith.
All: When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we proclaim your Death, O Lord,
until you come again.
EUCHARISTIC PRAYER
Fr. Rony: Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his Death and Resurrection, we
offer you, Lord, the Bread of life and the Chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you
have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you. Humbly we pray
that, partaking of the Body and blood of Christ , we may be gathered into one by the
Holy Spirit. Remember , Lord, your Church, spread throughout the world, and bring
her to the fullness of charity, together with Francis, our Pope and Reynaldo, our
Bishop and all the clergy.
Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope

of the resurrection, and all who have died in your mercy: welcome them into the
light of your face. Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of God, with St. Joseph, her blessed spouse, with the blessed Apostles, and
all the Saints who have pleased you throughout the ages, we may merit to be co
heirs to eternal life, and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, almighty Father, in the
unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours for ever and ever.
All: Amen.
