FLOYD BROWN - DRAGON TIGER PERSONAL TRAINER

What happens to world class athletes when they retire from active
competition - do they get fat and drift into sedentary middle age, like the
rest of us, or do they simply fade away like a pair of old blue jeans?
Floyd Brown who has represented Britain on the international full contact
martial arts circuit for more than a decade and has held British &
European titles in Thai and Kick Boxing, finally retired holding the
undisputed WKKC Freestyle Fighting World Championship title in the
Heavyweight Division having surfaced from sporting 'retirement' in 1999
to fight in Canada, certainly has not faded away. Floyd has moved on to
become one of the country's top personal fitness trainers and martial
arts/self protection coaches.
Floyd coached Leigh Remedios the previous British no holds barred
Lightweight Champion. Leigh and Floyd featured in the Bravo TV Natural
Born Fighters' documentary. Floyd then coached and advised Mark Chen
Phd., another budding no holds barred battling contender who went on
to become a world champion too.
Floyd has presented for the Association of Personal Trainers and
Lifeworks Unlimited on personal training: The Qualities of a Personal
Trainer and Special Client Populations. Having inculcated many celebrities
to adopt a healthier and fitter lifestyle, including amongst his list of
clients Soheir Khashoggi author of 'Nadia's Song', Marco Pirroni of 'Adam
& the Ants' fame, Mike McShane of 'Whose Line is it Anyway' renown and
the hardworking employees of Marks & Spencer Ltd., Floyd has also
become an instructor in women's practical self defence.
In this role Floyd has become a national presenter for both the
Association of Health & Exercise Teachers (ASSET) now The Exercise
Association and the Fitness Professionals organisations. Having
established credibility at this impressive level Floyd produced a self
defence dvd and is still looking for sponsors to further enhance his efforts
on this project.
Floyd has been featured in The Times, the Independent and Evening
Standard newspapers and in various fitness magazines (GQ, GQ Active,
Men's Health, What Diet & Lifestyle etc.) and City Limits and Time Out
Magazines. Practical self protection courses and seminars have been run
for men and women at British American Tobacco Ltd., British Coal, Clarins
UK Ltd., the London School of Economics Student's Union and Barnet HIV
Education Unit Colindale Hospital. Floyd also presents workshops involving

more assertive communication skills entitled "Handling Aggressive
Behaviour" from which tutors and support staff of the City & Islington
College in Holloway have benefited.
Furthermore the Athletics Union of the London School of Economics and
Political Science had a Mixed Martial Arts club set up by Floyd
incorporating the then Muay Thai Club, the Boxing Club and the Brazilian
Jiu Jitsu Club which benefited from Floyd's coaching and administrative
skills from 1995 2007.
Floyd has provided, as part of the Alternative Therapy Project,
a health and fitness consultancy service to the Caravan Needle Exchange
(Saint Mary's Hospital) in Paddington and the former Agapay Project in
Willesden; Drug Dependency Units (funded by the North West Thames
Mental Health Authority) for users rehabilitating and wishing to pursue a
healthier lifestyle.
