ABSTRACT

The factors influencing the interest of the study of Physical Education of the students of
College of Education, March 2014, by Nordessa Hannah G. Basag, Paul John Rey A. Tanghal,
Bianca Mae C. Fernandez, Angelie D. Tablazon, Ailla Faye Bernardo, Ducoy L.Tayuan, and
Alimher Nuron.
This study is concerned with some of the students of College of Education-CCSPC.
Descriptive research design was used in this study and by the use of survey questionnaires, a
total of twenty-five (25) students of College of education as respondents were interviewed.
This study used questionnaires and survey as a proof that students in our generation have
reasons about their interest in Physical education.
This study aims to answer the following questions:
1. What factors may affect the students interest upon physical education?
2. What contributed to their interest in dealing with physical education?
3. What other factors may we consider to promote and engage the youth in studying
physical education?

CHAPTER III
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the brief description of the research methodology. It includes the
research design, locale of the study, research instrument, nature of sample, administration of
instrument and statistical tools for analysis.
Research Design
The research design used in this study was Descriptive Survey method particularly
qualitative data. The characteristics of the respondents answers to the questions were analyzed
using descriptive method.
Locale of the Study
This study was conducted at the College of Education-CCSPC. The respondents were
interviewed first and were given questionnaire for adequate information.
Research Instrument
The major instrument that we used in gathering data was questionnaire.
Nature of Sample
Twenty-five (25) Students from the CCSPC-College of Education were treated as
respondents in our study. Among the total population, they were chosen to identify their reasons
for engaging in Physical Education.

Administration of the Instrument


The questionnaire method was used by the researchers in gathering information from the
respondents. The researchers went to the CCSPC-CEd to distribute the questionnaires. They
explained to the respondents their participation in the study.
Validity of the Instruments
Before the instruments were distributed, the questions were analyzed to determine if the
instrument is valid.
Data Gathering Instruments
This study was conducted through questionnaire method. It was conducted at CCSPCCEd. Information from the target respondents were acquired through the students who are
currently studying in this college. The respondents were approached by the student-researchers
and as for their willingness to participate in the study.
Statistical Treatment Data
The data gathered in the study as a result of the research was analyzed through gathering
of data.
