These
dressing
absorb
exudate
and
form
a
gel
like
covering
over
the
wound.
Some
dressings
maintain
there
integrity
whilst
others
disintegrate.
They
can
be
used
to
ll
a
cavity
but
must
be
covered
by
a
secondary
dressing.
Hydrober:
A
white
brous
dressing
made
of
sodium
carboxymethylcellulose
which
is
applied
dry.
Its
used
in
moderate
to
heavily
exuding
wounds
and
is
changed
when
fully
saturated.
Dressings
may
sKck
to
the
wound
and
shouldn'tt
be
overlapped
onto
the
surrounding
skin
