SET-UP

Preparing the WLAN repeater

Remove packaging material and all protective foil.

Contents of box
WARNING!
Keep plastic foil and bags away from babies and
small children as danger of suffocation.

The WLAN repeater operates in dual band mode. This

means that both 2.4G- and 5G-WLAN signals can be sent
at the same time. For each of these WLAN standards an
individual WLAN network with a SSID (network recognition) is transmitted by the repeater, depending on the
operating mode.
The WLAN repeater can repeat amplified networks of the
WLAN router as 2.4G or also as 5G-WLAN network. The
WLAN standard used by the WLAN router is immaterial.

Operation in repeater mode

Note!
Danger of damage!
If the packaging is carelessly opened with a
sharp knife or other pointed objects, the WLAN
repeater can be easily damaged. --Please open
packaging carefully.
1. Check that delivery is complete (see Fig. A).
2. Remove WLAN repeater from packaging and check
whether the equipment or parts are damaged. If yes,
do not use the device. Contact the service address of
the manufacturer listed on the Warranty card.

The WLAN router transmits a 2.4G or a 5G WLAN network.

The WLAN repeater amplifies this network signal and provides it as a 2.4G-WLAN network and a 5G-WLAN network.
Use the repeater mode to use the WLAN repeater to
extend the range of your wireless radio network. This
halves the data transmission rate of the radio network,
as the repeater communicates with the Client and the
Wireless Access Point
1. Set the mode selection switch to repeater.
2. Connect the repeater to an easily accessible mains
socket.
3. Switch on repeater using the ON/OFF switch. The
Power/WPS LED is now lit permanently .

NOTE!
When using the repeater for the first time,
place repeater closely to the Access Point to
be connected to the repeater. After successful
installation place repeater in area in which the
signal is to be amplified.

Configuration in repeater mode

Prior to configuring the WLAN repeater via the Web Interface, DHCP for WLAN and LAN is activated.
The SSID is Wi-Fi repeater and no encoding has been
set.
After the WLAN repeater has been set up using the Assistant Menu and has been connected using the home
router, the WLAN repeater is restarted.
After restarting, the DHCP on the WLAN repeater is
switched off. The WLAN repeater only receives the IP addresses from the router and passes these on to devices
logged on to the WLAN repeater.

Operation as Client
An end device (here a notebook), not containing a wireless adapter, is connected to the WLAN repeater through
the LAN cable.
The WLAN repeater connects wirelessly to a 2.4G or 5G
WLAN Access Point.
Use the Client mode to use the WLAN repeater as WLAN
adapter.

Installation using the WPS key (repeater mode)

The quickest, easiest and reliable way to establish a wireless connection between the repeater and the WLAN
router, is the WPS button.

NOTE!
This connection method requires both devices
to contain a WPS button. As factory setting, the
WPS button is set to 2.4G radio mode. To log-in
as a dual band router, whose WPS function is
activated in the 5G radio mode, the WPS button
of the Web Interface must first be set to the 5G
radio mode.
1. Hold down the WPS button on the repeater for at least
5 seconds.
2. After 5 seconds the Power/WPS LED flashes three
times.
3. The WPS function is now active and waits for the WPS
connection.
4. Next press the WPS button of your router to be
connected to the repeater. This step must be carried
out within two minutes. The connection is set up and
the network information is exchanged.
5. When the connection has been established, the Power/WPS LED is lit permanently.
6. If the Power/WPS LED flashes, a connection fault has
occurred. Wait two minutes until the LED is switched
off and restart the connection.
