1. INTRODUCTION
TEPNL intends to carry out basic engineering activity for the Ikike Field Development Project
including the development of further engineering work on the Amenam integration scope in
order to reduce integration uncertainties for the project.
Ikike is an undeveloped field located 20km offshore in the Gulf of Guinea in Nigeria and
approximately 15km north of the Amenam complex in 20m water depth. The Amenam field,
which has been producing since July 2003, is located approximately 60 km southeast of the

NLNG plant, and 95km southeast of the Port Harcourt and water depth ranges from 30 to 40
meters.
The Ikike field is located in OML 99 (JV NNPC 60% TEPNL 40%), outside of the AmenamKpono unitized area.
The Ikike field will be developed as a satellite tie-back to Amenam, thereby making full use of
the spare capacity of the Amenam process facilities due to the anticipated decline of the
Amenam production.
The field would be developed sequentially, by first producing the R11 reservoir which
contains most of the reserves. This would also allow appreciation of the shallower R5 and R7
reservoirs, thereby removing the remaining uncertainties linked to these fields.

Figure 1: Ikike Field Development

Amenam installations include 2 production wellhead platforms (AMD1/AMD2), 1 waterinjection wellhead platform (AMD3), 2 production platforms (AMP1/AMP2), a flare platform
(AMT2), and a living quarter (AMQ).
From Amenam, Stabilized oil is exported to the Floating Storage and Offloading Unit, FSOUnity, through a 16 sealine connected to AMP1 on the east face. Gas is exported to Bonny
NLNG through a 24 export.
The surface development consists of a wellhead platform tied-back to the Amenam complex.
The main features are:

A fully rated, 15 slots, unmanned wellhead platform.

A single, fully rated multiphase sealine for production export (32 000 bopd and 116
MMscfd at plateau) to Amenam (AMD-2).

Injection water and power will be provided from Amenam via dedicated sealine and
cable. The cable (with FO for data transfer) will be laid from AMP2, whilst water for
reinjection will be provided by the existing Amenam HP injection pumps via a new 12"
sealine tied-in on AMD3, the existing water injection wellhead platform.

MPFMs for well testing and export on Ikike, and allocation for Amenam by difference
between Amenam existing custody transfer meter and Ikike export MPFM

Integration works on AMD2, where the incoming Ikike production sealine will be tied-in,
consisting of the installation of a new module containing the safety valves and pig
receiver, hook up to existing production manifold and new HIPS to protect Amenam
against sealine depacking.

Initially, only 5 wells will be drilled: the 3 producers of R11 and two wells injectors in panel C.
The platform is fully rated, i.e designed, for the full well head pressure of the R11 wells (340
bar).

Normal lighting;

Emergency lighting;

Generally the lighting system shall comprise fluorescent luminaires supplemented with high
pressure (HP) sodium floodlight fittings with integral control gear where the mounting height is
too much for fluorescent luminaires and wider range of illumination is required.
Lighting circuits shall be arranged to ensure that a single circuit failure does not render any area
devoid of illumination. Circuits shall also be on different phases in each area to avoid the
stroboscopic effect on rotating machinery where this is necessary
Luminaires and lamp types shall be selected on the basis of suitability for the environment,
hazardous area classification, maintainability, luminaires characteristics and construction.
Special attention must also be paid to the effect of harmonics on operation of lighting circuits
and luminaires
In order to minimise the number of spare parts luminaires of the same category shall be
supplied from one manufacture only, with the number of types of luminaire kept to a minimum.
With the exception of escape lighting, the normal and emergency service luminaires within the
rooms (indoor) shall be industrial type and rated for use in hazardous areas.
Luminaires shall be located with due regard to equipment locations, ceiling mounted fire
detection equipment and obstructions. Luminaires shall be capable of being re-lamped from
walkways and platform as far as is practicable.
Special attention shall be given to specific areas such as panel lighting, exit and direction
indicating light.

8.2

Illumination level
The minimum luminance level for lighting in IKD1 shall be as follows:

10 lux for outdoor emergency lighting

100 lux for indoors emergency lighting

300 lux for indoors normal lighting

Normal Lighting
For the indoor and outdoor installation, all luminaires shall be supplied from normal services
power system.
The normal lighting system shall be supplied from the 400V normal power distribution system by
means of one,100% rated 400/230V transformer with neutral solidly earthed. It shall feed the
normal 230 V lighting and small power distribution panel. The lighting and small power main
distribution panel shall be equipped with a normally open, bus-section circuit breaker. The two
transformer incomers and the bus-section circuit breaker shall be provided with an interlocking
arrangement such that only 2 out of the 3 breakers may be closed at any one time. Facility for
short term closure of all three breakers shall be provided for maintenance purposes
Where required for remote isolation purposes, e.g. ESD or Fire & Gas trip signal, the subcircuits shall be provided with miniatures circuit breakers having a shunt trip facility supplied
from the 230 V AC UPS system.
Normal lighting for IKD1 and AMD2 shall be 2x36 W fluorescent with the following features:

8.4

Type: Trident 125VL or Approved equivalent

Model: TRIE/236/BI

2 x 20mm clearance holes cable entries

Universal mounting orientation

25 years design life

Polycarbonate main body material

IP65

Emergency Lighting
Approximately 30% of the total number of luminaires in all areas outdoors/indoors shall be
equipped with self-contained integral battery packs. The emergency services system shall be
supplied from main power supply during normal operating conditions and fed by individual
backup batteries installed with the lighting fixture during emergency.
These emergency lighting will be provided for areas and rooms that need to remain adequately
illuminated in the event of loss of the normal lighting system.
The quantity and locations of emergency lighting luminaires shall be such as to provide
adequate illumination during start-up and shut down of installation when the main power supply
is not working
The emergency lighting circuit will be fully separated from the normal lighting system.
The number and the siting of emergency lighting points shall be as such :
