Behavioral Medicine. The stuff in here will correspond to the behavioral medicine portion of the First Aid moreso than the psychiatry portion. This will be your developmental stages from birth to death and behavioral science behind it, biostats and ethics portions though I dont recall them going over that in the lectures. Know it anyways because it will be tested on the nbme shelf exam they give you. Good sources for questions include exam masters, qbanks as always especially Kaplan qbank and uworld. Rx divides it based on the system based approach with the other organ systems so a bit more confusing. Good resources for behavioral sciences for step 1 and class include brs behavioral sciences or high yield by FADEM. Good question sources include brs behavioral sciences, pretest psychiatry, and the following link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/14579391/Quiz-Behavioral-Science along with the practice questions they give you. Part 2 aka test 2 This is your true psychiatry unit. This will include the psych unit of first aid moreso than the behavioral medicine portion. So here you will be dealing with actual disorders such as personality disorders, substance abuse disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, etc. Any of the qbanks are good for this as well as the above link and especially especially especially pretest psychiatry and exam masters helped me a ton for this test. Also Joe Tsao of class of 2014 made this page for psych. It helped me tons http://wsupsyche.wikispaces.com/ PS for step 1 most high yield things to know are substance abuse lectures, different personality disorders, and the different responses such as suppression vs. reaction formation vs. passive aggression, etc. etc. for the psych portion. For behavioral portion everything in first aid is more than enough. Do know your different types of calculations and biostats section really well and be prepared to answer ethical issues.
