Business Requirements

1.1. Background
VSAO is a retail store specializing in electrical devices, has existed for over
20 years. Before, store was managed on paper, as the later, more and
more workload, management on paper is no longer appropriate, owner
wants a management system for managing shops more convenient.

1.2. Business Opportunity


Today, many stores have management systems of their own. The
competition is increasing because due to the management system, the
amount of products sold of them is increasing, the management of goods
and staff become easier. Therefore must improve store management
system to be able to compete.

1.3. Business Objectives and Success Criteria

BO-1: Reduce errors in the management by 95% within 6 months.

BO-2: Increase by 50% the number of products sold within 3 months.

SC-1: Completely replace the paper-based management within 6


months.

1.4. Customer or Market Needs


Customer needs a system which can replace the paper-based
management completely. Such a system would save the singly
management staff, to help reduce the cost of renting them, the
management will be smoother, easier, goods in-out more convenient,
faster, reduce waiting times, thereby increasing profits.
The system needs be clear, visually, without having any errors, easy to
use.

2. Vision of solution
2.1. Vision statement
For management of VSAO who needs the system to manage sequence of
store, the VSAO Store Management System is a system that provides you
a power full tools to manage your store by easiest way. Unlike another
system or software, our system not only locates, select and provides
information about goods, but also generates required reports when
needed, and our system also auto backup itself, very convenience for you.

2.2. Major features

FE-1: Auto update and backup system.

FE-2: Statistic and forecast revenue, cash flow of the store.

FE-3: Manage salary of staff.

FE-4: Items management: create, view, modify, delete and update


price of items.

FE-5: Generate the report by month, quarter, year.

2.3. Assumptions and dependencies

AS-1: Intranet-enabled computers will be available in the store to


permit manager sync data between stores.

DE-1: The new system must be profitable for the store compared to
investment costs system.

DE-2: This system helps manager save time to manage all of goods. So
this system can attract investment of many company and business.

LI-1: This is a completely new system for the store so there will be a few flaws.

LI-2: The scale of the system are small. The system is only used for the stores of VSAO.

4.3. Operating Enviroment

OE-1: System shall in location and in Da Nang City.

OE-2: Data is generated by offline forms and stored in the V-SAO SMS database.

OE-3: All of data will be stored in the database, so the V-SAO SMS database must be
secure.
