Family Group Movement
Family Groups contribute to building up the parish community, and for many
members help deepen their understanding of their own faith journey. You are all

BLESSING OF ANIMALS
To highlight the Feast of St Francis of Assisi this
month, as well as Pope Francis 2nd encyclical Care
for our Common Home, the Parish will have a
Blessing of Animals this Friday at 5.30pm in the
Church Grounds. You are invited to bring your
animals along for the Blessing.

Parish Halls & Office Works: Contract for works have been awarded to Searle Bros
Pty Ltd. After inviting tenders, Searles provided the lowest tender, and after rigorous
investigation and interview by the Parish Finance Committee, Searles were awarded
the contract. Local contractors will be used throughout the works program, where
possible.

Jubilee Year of Mercy: Pope Francis has announced an Extraordinary Jubilee which
has at its centre the Mercy of God. It will be a Holy Year of Mercy. This Holy Year
will commence on December 8th 2015, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
and will conclude on Sunday 20th November 2016, the Feast of Christ the King.

The WORD Among Us: A booklet of daily reflections on Mass readings &

The Day Before The Races: Morning Coffee Party: Monday 2nd November at St
Brigids Crossley supporting the Good Samaritan Sisters Mission. Doors open 10.30

Liturgy of Lament & Hope: A liturgy will be held at St Patricks Cathedral,


Ballarat at 2.00pm next Sunday, 1st November (All welcome). This is being arranged
in the context of the hearings of the Royal Commission relating to child abuse. The
liturgy will offer people an occasion to lament the wrongs that have occurred in our
Church, to ask forgiveness and to pray for healing for all involved.

Stewardship - Ministry
The follow up Team met during the week and all who wrote down their names for a
particular ministry will be contacted in the coming days.
Welcomers: There will be in informal gathering of all Welcomers this Wednesday,
2.30pm in the Gathering Space
