Based on the restaurants being allocated, we will first segregate the

restaurants based segregate them into following:

1. Based on their location
2. Based on their category/ cuisine
3. Based on their size (scale)
We will create a focus profile by contacting a POC from each category.
Considering the communication language and the comfort of the
conversation, I will go ahead with very basic idea of the standing of the
participant and create a basic profiling. According to this, I will refine the
focus group to interview in person.
After participants engage in a
demonstration/ presentation, feedback is collected and we can create
patterns based on these focus groups.
We will consider the above and create a questionnaire with half the questions
common to all and half of them pertaining to each category
The common questions would be somewhat like the following:
1. Present cutlery being used and why
2. Importance of cutlery in general and its awareness
3. What kind of attention is being paid to different kind of cutlery.
4. Their preferences
5. Feedback of the present cutlery and if they feel there is a need to shift
6. Pricing for the present cutlery
7. Designing
8. What quality are they expecting out of our product
9. Pricing of our product
10.
Availability of our product
Face to Face Interviews: Face to face interviews are when you sit down
and talk with someone. They are beneficial because the people we meet can
adapt to our questioning to the answers of the person you are interviewing.
This would be the best form of feedback because we will need to
demonstrate what our product is and also note down what exactly the
participants are using presently in their cutlery. During this, I will keep the
conversation balanced and comfortable and not very free flowing. I will also
try to take further remarks and extra points if possible. Also, there would
balance towards objective one word answers.
Phone Interviews: Phone interviews can be used when the participant is
too busy to meet with you to talk, or who does not want to use Internet. We

can do this only based on appointed time and we will need to understand the
present situation explicitly.
Email Interviews: Email interviews are less personal than face-to-face or
phone interviews, but highly convenient for certain situations. It may be
possible may not get as much information from someone in an email
interview because you are not able to ask follow-up questions or play off the
interviewees responses. We can create profiling based on email questions
and conversations and it will be useful when interviewing in person. And also
interviews are useful because they are already in a digital format.
In conclusion, the study from my end would be qualitative in nature and
enriching towards the overall study.
