Baptism We welcome cousins: Xavier Mugavin and Hudson Smits into Gods Family
Parish Halls & Office Works: Contract for works have been awarded to Searle Bros
Pty Ltd. After inviting tenders, Searles provided the lowest tender, and after rigorous
investigation and interview by the Parish Finance Committee, Searles were awarded
the contract. Local contractors will be used throughout the works program, where
possible.

Stewardship: Weekly average contributions for the month of September:

The Lords Prayer: When we pray the Our Father at Mass,


parishioners are most welcome to raise their hands in prayer.
Quite a number of parishioners are already praying this way.
St Josephs Parish Family Groups: All are invited to stay for a cuppa following
each Mass next weekend, and join with our Parish Family Groups, as they celebrate
many years of friendship and support within the parish and beyond.
Synod on the Family: The Synod of Bishops General Assembly takes place in
Rome this month. In order to support this important gathering, the Australian
Catholic Marriage and Family Council has developed prayer cards, available in
Gathering Space.
Jubilee Year of Mercy: Pope Francis has announced an Extraordinary Jubilee which
has at its centre the Mercy of God. It will be a Holy Year of Mercy. This Holy Year
will commence on December 8th 2015, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
and will conclude on Sunday 20th November 2016, the Feast of Christ the King.
Liturgy of Lament & Hope: A liturgy will be held at St Patricks Cathedral,
Ballarat at 2.00pm Sunday, 1st November (All welcome). This is being arranged in
the context of the hearings of the Royal Commission relating to child abuse. The
liturgy will offer people an occasion to lament the wrongs that have occurred in our
Church, to ask forgiveness and to pray for healing for all involved. All welcome

Brigids Crossley supporting the Good Samaritan Sisters Mission. Doors open 10.30
