Why fear the Lord?

Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise
wisdom and discipline.”
Do good works save you?
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from
yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast.”
How do you get saved?
Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your
heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Matthew 10:32-33 “Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him
before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I will disown him
before My Father in heaven.”
John 14:6 “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to
the Father except through Me.’”
Revelation 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice
and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.”
John 3:5 “Jesus answered, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God
unless he is born of water and the Spirit.’”

How to fight Satan

Is the Bible accurate/is the Bible useful?

correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work.”
Hebrews 4:12 “For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged
sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the
thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Why learn the Bible?
Ecclesiastes 10:10 “If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed but
skill will bring success.”
James 1:25 “But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and
continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it – he will be blessed in

God’s judgments
Isaiah 2:4 “He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares and theirs spears into pruning hooks. Nation
will not rise up against nation, nor will they train for war any more.”

What does born again mean?

What is faith?
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do

live by his faith.”
Why is faith important?
Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who
comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek
Him.”

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.”

The power of God’s gospel

seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the

2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season. Correct,
rebuke and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction.”

Purpose of the Holy Spirit

What is man?

How will you know who has authority among Christians?

Why do good people die?
Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”

evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.”
God’s discipline
Proverbs 3:11-12 “My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline and do not resent His
rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, as a father the son he delights in.”
The tongue
James 3:8 “but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.”
How to ask for things from God
James 4:3 “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that
you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”
The difference between Satan and Jesus

Test the spirits

Don’t give up on doing good

you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the
