Verbs
Verbs are the most complicated part of the prayer. There are many types of verbs.
The verb can indicate the main action (the main verb). An auxiliary verb adds detail
to the action or helps the main verb (also called "complementary verbs"). Modal
verbs added modality (possibility, capacity, permission, prohibition, obligation, etc.).
Transitive verbs connect a subject with an object. Others just need subject verbs
(intransitive verb). There are verbs that are composed of more than one word
(preposicionales verbs and phrasal verbs). Verbs can be active or passive. For
now at this level, we will focus on the uses of the main and auxiliary verbs
Besides the many types and uses of verbs, we need to conjugate verbs. The
conjugation of verbs depends on the subject and time. In the following lessons and
levels, there are explanations for the conjugation of time. At this level, we will only
study the present simple and present continuous tenses.
Some of the most common verbs in English:
to be (ser / estar)
To have (have / have)
to do (make)
to make (do)
to take (to take / catch)
There are three important verbs in English that can be used as main verbs or
auxiliary verbs "to be", "to have" and "to do". Depending on use, the meaning
changes but the combination is always the same
To be (ser / estar)
As in Spanish, the verb is very important and we use a lot. At the same time, it is
an irregular verb at all times. In addition, the construction of negative and
interrogative sentences is built differently than those of other verbs, as discussed in
the lesson to build sentences. We also use this verb to build the present
continuous, as we shall see. Therefore, it is important to fully understand this verb

To have (had)
This verb means "to have" when we use as the main verb meaning "be" when used
as an auxiliary verb. We learn more about the use of the verb "to have" as an aid in
the present perfect lesson. For now it is important to note that this verb can be
used in both situations and is an irregular verb.
To do
This verb means "to do" when we use as the main verb. There is no direct
translation in Spanish for this verb when used as an auxiliary verb. This auxiliary
verb is also necessary to build the negative and interrogative sentences. It can also
be used in affirmative sentences for emphasis
Note
we have to memorize verbs in the three times they are pronounced to be understood
well as grammar in English and will be made easier with the subject language

and greet, ask for what you do not understand, ask them to repeat something, the
pronunciation of a word, the meaning of a word, ask permission to leave, report a
problem, ask permission to go to the bathroom, goodbye, thank you, etc.
