CITY TREASURY DEPARTMENT

Functional Statement
The City Treasurer shall take charge of the treasury department
and shall:
RAdvise the City mayor, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and other local
Government and National Officials concerned regarding the
disposition of Local Government funds and on such other matter
relative to public finance
RTake custody and exercise proper management of the funds of the City;
RTake charge of the disbursement of all funds of the City and such other
funds the custody of which may be entrusted to him by law or other
competent authority;
RInspect private, commercial and industrial establishments with in the
jurisdiction of the City in relation to the implementation of Tax
ordinances pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Code;
RMaintain and update the tax information system of the City;
RPerform such other duties and functions and exercise such other powers
as provided for under Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as
the Local Government Code of 1991, & those that are prescribed
by law or ordinance

Feedback Mechanism
The City Treasury Department through the Asia Foundation Inc. implemented improved services in
monitoring the pulse of its customers.
One of the introduced innovation is the conduct of rating the Treasury Services through the Customers
Feedback Questionaire relative to its Office environment, procedures and the personnel attitude toward its clients.
The 1st tallying of the questionnaires resulted to a rating of 9.2% and on the recent tallying of same questionnaires
gained a rating of 9.4% showing not only sustaining but also improved results.
