Challenge
The Anka Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE)
Unmanned Air System (UAS) required a compact x86based mission computer to provide processing capabilities
for the aircrafts Automatic Take Off and Landing System
(ATOLS). The ATOLS allows the air vehicle to perform its
operation without operator intervention, including the most
critical phases which are landing and take-off. The processor
subsystem had to be rugged, small form factor and flightworthy. The size, weight and power (SWaP) constrained
Anka UAS platform is used by Turkish Armed Forces for
tactical surveillance, reconnaissance, and combat missions
and has a number of integrated mission payloads, including
avionics, optics and radar systems.

The small form factor and rugged design of a Parvus

Rugged, small form factor, Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS)

DuraCOR system made it a perfect fit for the Turkish UAS

DuraCOR mission computers were quickly delivered to the

ATOLS solution. These compact, Intel CPU-based mission
