MATLAMAT (GOALS) :
The goal of this course is to enhance the understanding, knowledge, and skills of the students in
thermodynamics applications
SINOPSIS (SYNOPSIS) :
The course emphasizes on the application of thermodynamics laws in engineering applications, exposing the
working principle of power plants, machines and engines that operate based on thermodynamics system. The
systems include steam and gas power plants, heat pump and refrigeration system, reciprocating compressor,
internal combustion engines and non-reactive mixtures, and cooling tower system.
HASIL PEMBELAJARAN (LEARNING OUTCOMES) :
At the end of this course, the students are able to:
(1) Respond the processes of the thermodynamic cycle into a schematic and property diagrams. (P3, LO 11)
(2) Analyze the problems in thermodynamic cycles and thermal systems based on related theories, techniques
and formulas (C4, LO 1)
(3) Express a good team working environment through given assignment. (A3, LO 5)
