1. Be able to calculate definite integrals from algebra function and trigonometry.
2. Be able to determine the area of plane in the curve by using definite integrals.
B. Learning Objectives
1. Students will be able to calculate definite integrals from algebra function and
trigonometry.
2. Students will be able to determine the area of plane in the curve by using definite
integrals.
C. Steps of Learning
1. Introduction
1.1 Initial Activities
1.1.1 Teacher opens the lesson.
Teacher : Assalamualaikum wr. wb. Hello good morning students!
Well, How are you all, today?
1.1.2 Teacher asks one of the students to lead prayers.
Teacher : Who is the leader in this class? Ok Aswin please leads to
pray together!
Leader : Ok guys, before starting our studying lets pray together. Pray
start! Pray over!
1.1.3 Teacher checks students attendance.
Teacher : Who is absent today?
1.2 Apperception
Teacher connects the topic that will be learned with previous topic that is
indefinite integrals.
Teacher : Last week, we learned about indefinite integrals and today we will
learning about definite integrals. Who can remember what
materials that we learned last week? Raise your hand please!
1.3 Motivation

Teacher gives information about the purpose of definite integrals in our daily
life by showing a sample picture.
Teacher : Do you know what is this picture? Ok students, in our daily life
definite integrals is very useful to determine the area of plane like
this boomerang
1.4 Goals of Learning
Teacher informs the students about the learning objectives of definite
integrals.
Teacher : The learning objectives of materials that will be learned today is to
calculate definite integrals and to determine the area of plane in
the curve. And I hope this learning objectives are reached for
today, so please attention during this class
2. Main Activities
2.1 Teacher gives information about materials that will be learned.
Teacher : Today, we will learning about definition and characteristic of
definite integrals and also how to find the area of plane in the
curve by using definite integrals.
2.2 Teacher introduces the definition of definite integrals by writing on the
whiteboard.
2.3 Teacher explains the characteristic of definite integrals.
2.4 Teacher explains how to find the area of plane in the curve by showing a
sample picture.
Teacher : By use this boomerang, we can determine the area of plane by
curve that related with this picture.
2.5 Teacher gives some example problem related to the definite integrals.
2.6 Teacher devides students into 7 groups. Every group have 5 members.
Teacher : Now, you make this class into 7 groups and count start from
number 1 until 7, and return again until the last student.
2.7 Teacher gives a student worksheet for every group. Each problem in first
group is different from other group and so on.
2.8 Teacher gives times as long as 5 minutes to finish their problem with their
members.
Teacher : I gives 5 minutes to finish your worksheet with your members. If
any question, please raise your hand and I will help you.
2.9 Teacher as facilitator to check each group and guide the students of the
relevant problems with the subject matter.
2.10 Teacher asks representative of 1 group for explain the result of their discussion
in front of the class.
Teacher : Please the leader of group 6 come forward to present your problem
solving in front of the class.
2.11 Teacher helps the students to proof their problem solving is true or false and
give the reason about it.
Teacher : Ok students, what do you think about the problem solving of group
6? Do you agree with it?
2.12 Teacher collects the student worksheet of all groups to evaluate it.

Teacher : Please submit your work on my table, and I will evalute it to take
the score of every group.
3. Closing
3.1 Summary
3.1.1 Teacher gives the time to students for generalization the concept of
definite integrals which given that day.
Teacher : What can we get from the lesson today? Please raise your
hand!
3.1.2 Teacher with students conclude the lesson that day.
Teacher : What is the definition of definite integrals? And how many
characteristic that we learned from definite integrals?
Anybody knows? Raise your hand please!

3.2 Quiz
Teacher gives homework for every student from 12th Grade Mathematics
Book.
Teacher : Please open 12th Grade Mathematics Book page 87 number 1 until
10. Please do by your self at home and next week, you can submit
your homework to me.
3.3 Final Activities
3.3.1 Teacher gives the appreciations for all students with applause.
Teacher : Because time is up, to close the lesson, please give big
applause for us today!
3.3.2 Teacher asks one of the students to lead prayers.
Teacher : Aswin, please leads to pray together!
Leader : Ok guys, before finishing our studying lets pray together.
Pray start! Pray over!
3.3.3 Teacher closes the activity today.
Teacher : Thank you for your attention. I hope the lesson that we
learned today be meaningful for us. Wassalamualaikum wr.
wb. See you next time. Have a nice weekend.
