Quick Data Point

Fall
and Winter MCC Student Headcounts show numbers of students remain relatively constant,
however, FYES drops significantly between Fall and Winter Semesters. Data analysis establishes
the
FYES numbers decline between the Fall and Winter semesters. Since student headcounts
remain constant it may reasonably be concluded that the same MCC students are taking fewer

credit
hours in Winter Semester than in the Fall Semester. Trustee Cusumano is still awaiting the
data subsets for 2014 and Fall 2015 per FOIA request to MCC. Raw data sets are provided.

The MCC <25 years old
student full-timepopulation
shows a decline from the
2007 percentage. The < 25
MCC part-time student
population has increased
from 50.8 to 62.9%. More
students less than 25 years
old are shifting to the part
time status subset. The
overall total enrollment
data does not show this shift,
but a deeper dive into the
data establishes the trend.

from the 2007 percentage. The > 25 MCC
part-time student population has
decreased from 83.5% to 78.9%.
This data is inconsistent with Dr. Jacobs
presentation on 09/15/2015 that weakness
exists in the >25 year old subset/category
of students. Trustee Cusumano is still
awaiting the data subsets for 2014 and Fall
