BACK: Begin at top (shoulder) edge, ch 86 (92, 98).


Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * skip next 2
ch; 5 dc in next ch shell made; skip next 2 ch, sc in next
ch; repeat from * across; turn 14 (15, 16) shells.
Row 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, * skip 2 dc, sc in next dc, skip
2 dc **, shell in next sc; repeat from * to last st, end at **; 3
dc in last sc; turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first dc, * skip 2 dc, shell in next sc, skip
2 dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * across working last sc in
top of ch-3; turn.
Rows 4-32 (38, 42): Repeat Rows 2 and 3, end by
working Row 2. Fasten off.
FRONT (Make 2): Begin at top (shoulder) edge, ch 44 (44,
50). Work same as Back over 7 (7, 8) shells for 32 (38, 42)
rows. Fasten off.
SLEEVES (Make 2): Begin at top (armhole) edge, ch 74
(80, 86). Work same as Back over 12 (13, 14) shells for 31
(33, 37) rows. Fasten off.
FINISHING: Sew shoulder seams across 14 sts from
shoulder edge toward neck. Place center of sleeve tops
at shoulder seams and sew in place. Sew side and sleeve
seams.

in last dc; join in top of ch-3. Fasten off.
Boys Smooth Edging

Row 1: With wrong side facing, join yarn at upper corner
of left front; ch 1, work 115 (121, 139) sc evenly spaced
across left front, back neck, and to corner of right front
corner; turn 115 (121, 139) sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in front loops of each sc across; turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, * skip 2 sc, sc in next sc, skip
2 sc **, shell in next sc; repeat from * to last sc; 3 dc in last
sc; turn 19 (20, 23) shells.
Rows 4-6: Repeat Rows 3 and 2 of Back. Fasten off.

keep work flat. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
BONNET: Ch 122. Begin at front edge and work in pattern
same as Back over 20 shells for 24 rows. Fasten off.
Back-Row 25: With right side facing, skip first 42 sts, join
yarn and work in pattern across next 37 sts; turn, leaving
remaining 42 sts unworked.
Rows 26-48: Work in pattern. Fasten off.
FINISHING: Sew row ends of Back to unworked sts of
Row 24.

Row 1: With wrong side facing, join yarn at corner of right
front; ch 1, work 30 sc evenly across row ends to seam,
