ISAIAH
2356 University Avenue West
Suite 405
Saint Paul, MN 55114
Dear ISAIAH:
On Monday, September 14, Goff Public welcomed representatives of ISAIAH into our office.
Although your visit was unexpected, my colleagues, Elizabeth Emerson and Matt Roznowski,
participated in a respectful discussion with you and listened carefully to ISAIAHs perspective on
our work for one of our clients.
From that meeting and your accompanying letter, we understand ISAIAHs concerns include the
growth in Minnesotas incarceration rate and racial disparities.
We believe ISAIAHs concerns are important issues for policymakers and the public to consider.
However, your concerns are much different from Goff Publics scope of work for Swift County.
Swift County has retained us to help it present the State of Minnesota with the option of leasing
and operating a public prison at an existing correctional facility in Appleton, Minnesota, as an
alternative to building a new prison facility. This would provide hundreds of good-paying jobs in
an economically distressed area of the state.
ISAIAHs description of our scope of work as promot[ing] a private, for-profit prison is
false.
The First Amendment enshrines the right of the people to petition the government. Every
person, organization, and local unit of government deserves to have representation in public
policy-making and in the court of public opinion, just as they do in a court of law. Therefore,
Goff Public declines your request that we terminate our work for Swift County.
Sincerely,

Chris Georgacas
President and CEO
Goff Public, Inc.
