Genesta January 2009 – Present


Support Specialist

Genesta is a small IT firm located in Rockwall, TX that specializes in wireless network installations and speech
recognition software. As a Support Specialist, responsibilities include:
 designing and composing functional specifications for SyVox speech recognition software solution to
translate client requirements into programmer design specifications.
 writing and executing user acceptance test scripts to ensure functionality of finished software products.
 documenting all internal and external hardware- and software-related procedures.

Little Ducklings Babysitting August 2005 – December 2007


Babysitter, Owner

Little Ducklings Babysitting was a babysitter match service originally started by a UT graduate in Austin, TX.
Originally hired as a contract babysitter, later asked to take over the business when the original owner moved on
to full-time teaching. After purchasing the business:
 managed relationships with clients and sitters to ensure mutual satisfaction with LDB’s services.
 coordinated sitter schedules to meet client needs, ensuring that every client request made in a timely
manner was met.
 recruited and maintained a pool of 10-12 sitters at a time, adding sitters as availabilities changed due to
school schedules or client needs increased.

First United Methodist Preschool; JCAA Early Childhood Program January 2007 – August 2007
Assistant Teacher

As an Assistant Teacher for two- and three-year-olds, assisted the Lead Teacher in activity planning and
preparation and was jointly responsible for the care and safety of a class of 10-12 preschoolers. Communication
with parents and other staff were especially important to the success of each child.
