Plot
Hamlin is a prosperous town until they had an infestation of
rats. All the people became very sick and all their goods had
spoiled. In the middle of this, the Pied Piper came and offered
to remove all the rats at a certain fee.
The Pied piper came through with his promise and removed
all the rats from the town. The people of Hamlin rejoiced.
However, the mayor has different plans that may lead to the
devastation of the city.

Summary
In the wealthy town of Hamelin, life was easy until for some
reason many rats came. The elders of the town had a meeting
but all the things they had proposed was already been tried
and was unsuccessful. In the midst of hopelessness, a circusman came and introduced himself as the Pied piper.
This man said that he could be able to remove all the rats
in the town in condition that the townsfolk would give him a
fee of 1000 guilders. The council, on the verge of
hopelessness, agreed to the fee. He then played a hunting
tune near the river. All of the rats came and went to the river.
The people of Hamlin rejoiced.
Sadly, the mayor of the town didnt plan to come through
with the promised fee. He offered the Pied Piper a few coins
instead. Since the Pied Piper thought that the town is very rich

and could afford the fee, he became angry at the way the
town cheated him.
He then started playing a jolly tone on his pipe that made
every child in the town, lame or not, dance and rejoice.
Afterwards, he led the children to the cliff, used his magical
pipe to break open the cliff and they entered there. The town
of Hamlin then became sad and miserable.

Book Review
I would rate this book as 3 out of 5 since the plot is quite
simple. However, I would still recommend this to a friend
because the book is still enjoying and the plot involves some
magic. I think it would be very helpful to help my friends love
reading.
