Summary of the Job Description

Understand the scope and requirements of client requests

Work individually and in teams to seamlessly develop and deliver high
quality output
Assume ownership of deliverables and ensure these are completed within
set deadlines
Work with account and client teams to deliver at client expectations

Responsibilities
Capgemini India is looking to hire a Consultant to support the Insurance Group to
implement transformational projects which may include, but are not limited to
development, testing, data migration , social media development and business
analysis.

Develop solutions using products like Guidewire, Ingenium, LifeAsia, Oracle

Policy
Design, Build, Code and Unit Test for requirements related to one of the
Guidewire products
Work with other internal IT teams (including client, onshore and offshore)
to complete project activities
Work on data model for mentioned products
Ensure that development is completed on schedule
Ability to create front end applications in Excel or PowerPoint to present
key project findings to the client
Staying within timelines and deadlines for completion dates for projects.

This requires good time management and organizational skills

Flexible and service oriented. Adaptable to change in work environment,
project scopes and roles

Key Performance Indicators

Success in this role will be measured through a balance of qualitative and

quantitative performance measures that are aligned to the growth of
Insurance Group. These will form a part of the annual objectives and will
be reviewed biannually. (Shared upon meeting for a discussion)

The goals for the position are organised around 3 key themes. Each theme has clear
result areas:

Quantitative/Analytical Output
Business and Technical Benefits (in terms of recommendations, time
saved, code rework etc.)
Adherence to project timelines and quality of output

Specific Competencies for the role

Haves

B.E. from premier engineering colleges like IITs, BITS Pilani

Good technical background of Core Java, with a working knowledge in
atleast one JEE framework.
Integration requirements need definite knowledge on webservices. If not
produce services, at least consume.
Understanding of terminologies (Gosu, Entity, Product Models, Data Model,
Activities, Segmentation/Assignment, PCFs, Typelists, Business Rules,
Rulesets, etc)
Knowledge of one of the Databases (Oracle or SQL Server)
Sound knowledge of modern software architectures and development
techniques
Application of structured software development techniques including
requirements analysis, functional decomposition, modeling, prototyping,
functional design, estimating and testing
Knowledge in at least one Software Configuration Management tool like
VSS, SVN, CVS, GIT etc
Financial markets knowledge. Insurance preferable.
Strong quantitative and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work on stringent deadlines and handle multiple projects
simultaneously
Strong analytical and reasoning skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both as an individual and
in a team
Ability to prioritize and interlace jobs to meet functional demands
