REQUEST FOR BUDGET FOR ATTENDING PLANNING STUDENT ASSEMBLY 2011

1.0

INTRODUCTION

The PSA (Planning Students Assembly) is an annual activity organizes and

participates by students lecturers from school of urban and regional Planning
Schools throughout Malaysia. Currently there are 5 planning school at the
public institutes of higher learning in Malaysia will participate in this
programme including IIUM. The other planning schools are at Universiti
Teknologi Mara (UiTM, Shah Alam & Seri Iskandar), Universiti Teknologi
Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Politeknik Sultan Abdul
Halim Muadzam Shah (POLIMAS). For the year 2011, the PSA will be held at
the Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang. The programme is important for the
student and lecturer as to explore different learning environment and as cocurricular activities.

2.0 OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the programme are:

To encourage students to explore different learning environment by

visiting other places outside of their usual learning environment
To acknowledge planning students about the importance of the field of
planning by using this event as a tool for learning.
To encourage planning students to take a more proactive role in the field
of planning to prepare themselves for the future as urban planner.
To gather all students from planning courses from different universities
around Malaysia
To provide avenue for students from different universities to get to know
each other and forge a closer interaction.

PURPOSES OF THE PAPERWORK

The purpose of this paper is to request for transportation budget from the
Kulliyah of Architecture and Environmental Design as the student are under
the kulliyah management and responsible. This is also for students
convenient and safety along the trip.
