Now a-days, there are different types of resources available;

1. Books: A book is a set of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made
of ink, paper, parchment or other materials, usually fastened together to
hinge at one side. a single sheet within a book is called a leaf and each
side of leaf is called a page books. It may also refer to works of literature or
a main division of such a work. In liberay and information science, a book is
called a monograph, to distinguish it from serial periodicals such as,
magazines, journals, or news papers. books provide in depth coverage a
subject and are a great resources for students. They are not as current as
journal articles, but like journal they provide citation and bibliographic which
can be used to identity other resources. It can provide broad over views of
an event. It cant be intended for a board audience depending on the book,
ranging from scholars to general audience .Its content level can range from
general public to expert. Its content level can range from general public to

2. Magazines: Magazines are of two types. They are popular magazines and
professional or trade magazines.
Popular or special interest magazine : Popular magazines contain articles
written by journalists and are geared towards a general audience. Unlike
academic journals they do not go through a peer review process and rarely
contain bibliographic citations. It is contained in long from stories weekly

public policy. It can include detailed analysis. It offers perspectives of an

intended to reach a large audience. The technologies through which this
communication takes place varies. Broadcast media such as radio, recorded
music, film and television transmit their information electronically .Information
can easily be broadcast to many different regions of the world simultaneously
and cost efficiently. News channels like BBC,CNN etc provides round the clock
information current affairs. Discovery, national geographic, History, Animal
Plannet,victor etc are channels those provide a wide sphere of information.
2. Internet : The internet is essentially made up of millions of computers all over
the world that are linked together in a net work that allows people to exchange
information. There are entire books, scholarly journal articles, magazine
articles, newspaper articles, video, feature length movies, music games, soft
ware can downloaded, self help, shopping, gambling, sports scores,
opportunities to interact with other using e-mail, chat and live voice and video
and lot of information in the internet. It provides more recent, up to-date
information, including up to the minute updates. For example, reporters can sit
in criminal and civil trials and post blog entries about the trial as it is actually
taking place. It is primarily provided through resources like internet news sites
when related to a specific event. It is intended for a general audiences. A vast
array information such as government reports and conference papers is freely
available on the sites. It should be evaluated not all information is unbiased as
even accurate.

CONCLUSION
An information source is anything that might help a person to get knowledge
about something. Different types of questions require different sources of
information. Information sources may be observation, picture, organizations,
documents, speeches etc.There is more information available now than in the
entire history of humanity and the amount is still growing. It is also important to
understand when different types of sources will be published about a specific
event .The progression of media coverage about a news worthy event is called
the information cycle. Through this, we can gather knowledge about different
types of resources for accessing information.
