JOB OBJECTIVES
• Gain and share expertise and experiences on various pediatric and geriatric cases to

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
• Evaluates and treats children and adults with speech and language disorders.
• Counsels parents and caregivers about the clients’ condition.
• Provides home program to families of children with speech and language problems.
• Coordinates with other disciplines for an effective intervention of interdisciplinary cases.
• Performs administrative duties such as billing clients, decking evaluation and treatment,
clinic inventories and answering queries.
• Presents cases to clinical supervisors to improve clinical skills in report writing and goal
setting.
• Arranges, attends and coordinates seminars and workshops for caregivers of differently
abled children on health care know-how.
• Provide Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) management.
• Co-manages clients with professional speech pathologists.
• Counsels families of individuals with speech and language problems.
• Reads and reports on journals related to adult cases and speech pathology.
• Supervises community based rehabilitation workers during evaluation and therapy
sessions.
• Leads senior citizen’s fitness class.
• Communicates and coordinates with barangay and city officials during the internships.
• Observes hearing tests, like Auditory Brainstem Response, Auditory Steady-State
Response, Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry and Otoacoustic Emissions.
• Analyzes and interprets results of hearing tests.

• Coordinates with audiologists and other professionals in providing management to
individuals with hearing impairment.
