Young Women

In Finance
2010 Mentorship Programme Ap
plication

Mission:
“to develop a support network for emerging successful women in our society,
who have a holistic view of themselves and their role in the development of
society”

The Young Women in Finance Programme (YWIF) was established in 2005 by two
UCT Investment Society students. The vision was to bridge the gap between
student life and the working environment for female graduates. YWIF invites you
in 2010 to connect with successful women in various fields of work through the
programme which will largely run as platform to facilitate a mentorship process.
Students will have the opportunity to network and connect with women and are
encouraged to form relationships with mentors independent of the YWIF
programme.

YWIF provides a framework for students to navigate and get to know the ‘real
world’. Through networking events, excursions, speakers and seminars,
students can expect to be empowered and motivated to find their place and
make a difference in society. The programme will consist of several events
during the year, where participants will be able to meet and listen to some of the
successful women in the working world. Participants will also learn more about
how to give back and empower other women.

Provisional Event Dates:

• Progressive Dinner - 10 April 2010
Meet, connect and interact with successful women in different fields of

• Speaker - 23 April 2010

Be prepared to be inspired, motivated and equipped to meet challenges
