Title Apparatus for clearing up, in particular removing sand from, areas of grass
Abstract An apparatus for clearing up, in particular for removing sand from, areas of grass includes a
basic housing, rollers, a blower and a collection container. The apparatus has a low degree
of design complexity such that areas of grass can be cleared up in a simple manner, it being
possible, in particular, to easily remove sand and other foreign matter from greens of golf courses.
The invention proposes providing a nozzle, through which the propelled air which is conveyed by
means of the blower flows towards the area of grass, downstream of the blower in the direction
of flow, wherein no cutting tool is provided. An inflow opening of an exhaust-air duct is arranged
downstream of the nozzle, with a space being left free above the area of grass, in such a way that
the air flows substantially horizontally over the area of grass in the space. A guide element which
can be made to rest on the area of grass is provided in the region of the inflow opening, wherein
the exhaust-air duct issues into the collection container for holding the sand and/or foreign matter
which is removed from the area of grass.

Title Discoloration of sports and military items for vision training
Abstract Findings by sports optometrists conclude that sporting hand eye coordination is improved when
high color contrast between figure and ground exist. Ground is defined as any and all possible
background coloring. Figure herein refers to the prime sports objects; soccer balls, baseballs,
footballs, bowling pins, handballs, lawn bowling posts, pucks, ringette rings, horseshoe pins, polo
balls, golf balls, ping pong balls, badminton birds, hand balls, volleyballs, racquet balls and any
military targets, that can be made available in discolored selections, including but not limited to;
green, blue, white, two color combinations such as but not limited to; white and gray, red and white
yellow and white. Military targets may be prepared in camouflage, or any colors expected to be
replication of critical naturally anticipated backgrounds. Among these are the greens and browns
of earth, blue and blue-green of sea, and various blues and cloud conditions of the sky and dark
shades of night. High contrast improves visual performance and the accompanying hand eye or
hand foot coordination needed in athletics leading to improved sport performance. It hence follows
that practicing with discolored contrast, referred herein as specific discoloration of the prime sports
object, and military targets, challenges the athlete to elevate visual competence and performance.
Training the eyes to handle less agreeable colors by use of the method described improves the
visual acuity and associated hand-eye or foot-eye coordination to raise athletic performance in
contests and games and military performance in battle.

Title Golf ball having reduced side spin
Abstract A golf ball has one or more grooves in the ball surface. When the ball is initially struck by a golf

interacts with the air stream to absorb some of the side spin energy. The grooves act like miniature
turbine blades, or vanes on an in-flight arrow, to decelerate side spin velocity so as to reduce the
tendency of the ball to hook or slice.

the club shaft undergoes mechanical deformation, the piezoelectric materials can transform the
energy of mechanical deformation into electrical energy, thereby producing a voltage output and
then feeding the voltage back to another piezoelectric material, so as to produce a deformation
against the vibration direction of the club shaft. Thus, the vibration energy of the club shaft can

Title Golf club shaft angle adjustment technology
Abstract Golf club shaft angle adjustment technology that allows the angle of the shaft of a golf club (ie. the
lie) to adjust in small increments, and prevents movement as is the case with gears or teeth. The
front of the club head consists of a round opening that accepts a corresponding round member
on the end of the shaft. The face of the club inside the round opening on the club head consists
of a series of half-spherical divots. The face of the shaft member that opposes the face of the
club inside the round opening on the club head also has half-spherical divots. Opposing divots
are positioned such that two opposing divots are perfectly in-line when the shaft is at an allowable
angle. A ball bearing inserts into the perfectly in-line divots prior to sliding the shaft member into
the club head opening to prevent movement when tightened. Inside the club head round opening
is a smaller round opening that extends through the back of the club head. The round member on
the end of the shaft has an attached threaded post that inserts into the smaller round opening of
the club head and allows for the tightening of the round shaft member to the club head from the
back of the club head.

Title Golf-club shafts having selectable-stiffness tip regions, and golf clubs comprising same
Abstract The subject golf clubs have a shaft and clubhead. The shaft has a tip-end coupled to the
clubhead, a butt-end, a reduced-EI portion located adjacent the tip-end, and a remaining portion
extending between the butt-end and the reduced-EI portion. The portions are coupled together at
an interface. The remaining portion exhibits a respective rate of stiffness reduction as a function of
distance from the butt-end. The reduced-EI portion is typically shorter than and has less stiffness
than the remaining portion. A stiffener is coupled to the shaft, such as in the reduced-EI portion,
to add stiffness locally. The reduced-EI portion exhibits a respective rate (which can be zero)
of stiffness reduction as a function of distance toward the tip-end. These rates can be similar
or different. The interface can exhibit a greater rate in stiffness reduction than the other portions.
The stiffeners can be user-selectable, from a kit supplied with the club, for example. The clubhead
can be removable from the shaft to facilitate stiffener exchange.

Title Goif putter with a new type of grip
Abstract The invention provides a new type of putter for golfers to improve their putting accuracy and
stability. The grip is shaped to help users lock all joints on their hands and arms in place, and
thus limits golfers movement of those muscles. By locking all joints and muscles, golfers can
concentrate on using only the back and shoulder muscles to putt, making it much easier to have
the putter face perpendicular to the intended golf ball path on the x-y plane. Not only would
this allow more accurate, stable putts, with repeated usage of this device, golfers will become
accustomed to using their back and shoulder muscles to putt, and hence improve their putting
skill even with a regular putter.

Title Golf club head cover with snap closure
Abstract There is provided a golf club cover with a magnetized snap closure that provides a functional
but convenient and attractive method for affixing and removing a cover from the head of a golf
club, particularly a putter. A golfer need only align the golf club, such as by pointing the tip of a
putter head toward the opening in the cover, and then quickly push the club head right through
the opening and into an internal cavity of the cover. Two matching arm fasteners are disposed
in opposing flaps of the cover. The arm fastener includes a flange portion and a magnet with
the magnets serving to maintain the arm fasteners in a generally engaged position. Movement
of the club shaft toward the interior of the cover will cause the magnetic snap closure to briefly
open so as to allow the shaft to pass through the closure. Then, once the shaft has passed the
closure, meaning that the head of the club has reached its resting place in the cover cavity, the
snap closure then automatically (magnetically) closes so as to secure the golf club cover around
the club head. In order to remove the club from the cover, the user quickly pulls the club away,
which sufficiently opens the snap closure and allows the club to be extricated from the cover.

A reminder seat is connected to the vertical pole to accommodate the golfer’s posterior resting
against the seat during a golf swing and facing away from the vertical pole. An elastic band is
secured to the vertical pole at a distance above the reminder seat forming a loop around the
golfer’s chest. The elastic band enables the golfer’s abdominal and core muscles to keep flexion
throughout the golf swing, thereby allowing a free swinging motion of the golfer while limiting
lateral and vertical movement of the body.
