September Scoop
The latest news in our upcoming round the
world journey of Bible teaching!
Weve had an incredibly rich, full summer, but as the ocial beginning
of Fall approaches, reality is setting in: in only a few months well be
headed to the Ukraine to sta Titus, to Central Asia to lead a team of
Bible teachers on outreach, and then to Taiwan, where well have the
opportunity to meet with the founder of the Titus Project, and learn
more of the heart of the outreach program well be pioneering in
Turner Valley in 2017. Its becoming realwere not only going to a
part of the world wed never imagined ourselves traveling towere
leading a team there!#
With the pace picking up in preparing for Titus, wed like to keep you
updated with more frequent snapshots as to how you can be praying
for us as we move forward. If you have any questions about what were
doing, wed love to talk to you. Check out our blog,
packardsprogress.wordpress.com, or even better, contact us at
packardsprogress@gmail.com! Wed love to answer your questions.#

Michael and Helen Packard are

Bible-teaching missionaries
with Youth With A Mission
(YWAM) in Turner Valley,
Alberta. We are blessed to be
partnering with God in
equipping His people with a
world-changing knowledge of
the Bible! This Winter well be
heading to Kyiv, Ukraine to
staff the Titus Project, from
where well lead a team of
Bible teachers on an outreach
to Central Asia. Learn more
about our journey on our blog,

Fundraising News
To date, we have $3051.78 for Titus! We are so blessed and encouraged
to already have a large portion of the finances we need for our flights to Ukraine and Taiwan. Our travel
agent has told us to estimate $5000 for our flights from Canada to Kyiv, Ukraine, and then to Taiwan.
This estimate doesnt reflect the cost of flying to our outreach location in Central Asia, which we estimate
will be another $1000 each, and it doesnt include our ground fees in Ukraine or Central Asia, which were
still waiting to hear about. Our first fundraising goal is to see the rest of the $5000 come in, so we can
book our flights. Wed love to see this happen by the end of September. We have approximately $1950 to
go. We have no idea how this money would come in over the next three weeks, but for some reason,

$5000 by the end of September keeps coming to mind, so were

hoping this is Gods plan for us!#
On October 9th were hosting a fundraising concert at our
church, Okotoks Alliance, featuring Karla Adolphe! Were so
excited to be partnering with Karla for this event. Well have
more details on this event later this month - keep checking
packardsprogress.wordpress.com for details - but for now, learn a
little bit more about Karla at the bottom of this page!#
If youre interested in partnering with us financially, please refer
to the tax-deductible gifts column at left. Thank you!#

Steps to Central Asia

It has been a challenge to start the process of planning our
outreach to Central Asia. We are crazy busy at YWAM Turner
Valleys with the every day operation of the campus, so wed
appreciate prayer for time out of our schedules to focus on Titus
Project.#
Wed also love prayer that as our team comes together, one of our
participants would be Russian-speaking. Our contacts are largely
Russian speakers, and life would be abundantly easier, both in the
planning process and while were overseas, if we had a Russianspeaking participant with us.

We are thrilled that Karla Adolphe (you may know her

voice from her solo projects and her work with Enter the
Worship Circle) has agreed to partner with us in a
fundraising concert on October 9th! Her latest album,
Magnolia, due out in March of 2016, is going to be stunning
- we can say so, because were been blessed to hear several
of Karlas new songs as theyve been in the works.
You can hear a preview of Karlas new album - a song called Home - at soundcloud.com/karlaadolphe, where you can also check out her most recent album, Honeycomb Tombs. Wed love for you to
listen to Karlas music and get excited about attending her concert in October, in support of our work
with Titus Project, at Okotoks Alliance Church!

Thank you for your prayers and support! It means so much to us to have a
community of friends and family behind us in our Titus endeavours!
