CULTURAL SENSITIVITY & ETHICAL Someone once said, “Every medical encounter is a cross-

issues including social, economic, ethnic, religious,
education, or language. Cultural humility and sensitivity
as well as respect are vital.

program: Using brains to save bucks (or How a shrink
learned that nobody gives a damn about the environment
if it doesn’t help their pocketbook).

street outreach and radio: National Alliance on Mental
Health (NAMI.org) in the United States and Puerto Rico.
