Objectives:

The basic purpose of this training


workshop titled Communicating Effectively is to develop
the presentation & communication skills of the participants
so that they can successfully plan and present all aspects of
the companies. After finishing this course, participants will
be able to:

identify elements of communication process and


factors influencing it;
identify forms of communication;
know about channels of communication at work;
show ability to give job instructions;
display ability to give and receive feedbacks;
show ability to deliver effective presentations by
using verbal and non verbal language;
show ability to participate and conduct meetings
effectively.

Target participants
The course on Communicating Effectively has been
designed for those who manage groups of people, mainly
including business owners, top management, and all
managers within small and medium sized enterprises.
Course is open to individuals holding a university degree in
economics, finance, accounting, planning and management,
engineering, and other related disciplines. In addition to the
educational background, the candidate's professional
experience is taken into consideration, in reviewing the final
pool for applicants. Fluency in spoken and written English is
required.

Training Methodology:
The training course uses a problem-based methodology in order to
engage participants actively in the learning process. Before each
course, participants will be encouraged to raise issues that they are
facing at work by completing a participant profile. During the
course, the trainer will act as facilitator, using interactive learning
methods to help participants to share their experiences and learn
through participation in activities such as group discussions, case
studies, role-playing, and games. At the same time, participants will
be instructed to develop an action plan for applying their new skills
and tools to actual challenges at work.

The Lead Trainer Ale Imran Siddiqi, is an FCA
(Fellow member of Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Pakistan) as well as FCMA
(Fellow member of Institute of Cost &
Management Accountants of Pakistan). He is also Fellow
Member of The Institute of Corporate Secretories of Pakistan
and Institute of Public Finance Accountants of Pakistan. He
possesses a diversified professional experience of more than
30 years at top level positions. He is principal partner of M/s
Ale Imran & Co.-Chartered Accountants & SEDC since
2000. He is very active member, speaker and trainer at
ICAP and ICMAP. He has taken training from IFC (World
Bank Group) Business Edge with Australian training
methodology and has conducted various training cources as a
lead trainer.

The investment for attending this workshop inclusive of Iftar


Party (Two days), Workshop material, Group Photo and
Certificate for each participant is Rs. 16,000/-. Amount to be
paid through a Pay Order/Cheque in favour of Socio
Economic Development Consortium-SEDC or Cash can
be delivered at our office.

Steve Ryan
Over the last twenty years Steve has been
working in international development,
including eight years in an executive
management position in Lahore, as well as in
project management services, and training and
consultancy. He has also held an international advisory role
at the Vanuatu Rural Development and Training Centres
Association in the Pacific Island nation of Vanuatu, an
education development project jointly funded by Oxfam
New Zealand and the Government of New Zealand (NZAid).
He has worked for many years in training and development
sector in UK, including 10 years as Head of Department for
Training and Development at the University of the West of
Englands Accredited Training Centre. Was part of the
national training team for the literacy and numeracy strategy
in UK and has also worked at King Saud University, Riyadh
coordinating the language improvement programme in the
Preparatory Year Campus and been advisor to language
development schools in Shanghai, China. His skills include
academic and infrastructure development, leadership and
management training; Communication skills training; project
management; Project monitoring and annual reporting.
