• We have stands of the product for every item to make sure that the

to find the size of consumer.
• To make sure that we can have consumers for everyday we have
assigned person to have talk to the sales lady of different stall so that
they visit us and see the product we introduce.

IV. Problems Encountered:

• The biggest problem that we encountered in this business was
the sales or the bargains of the signature stalls, and the department
store of the said mall, we decide to have at least 20% off to the
products or style were on their way to face off, we improved our
sales talk encourage them to at least take a look to our product so
that they might have some item to buy.
• Another thing was when we ran out of size to sell and style to give to
the consumer, the solution we agreed is was to talk to the supplier to
entrust bigger no. of supplies especially on the size which is in
demand, so that we cope up the demands of the consumer.
• Another thing we encountered was the shifting of our schedule, there
were times that the scheduled person was not available because of
some emergencies from home and other personal appointments. This
is not big deal for us because we have to manage and see to it that
everyday we can have person to manning to our stall and have
someone to run to for some instances.

V. SWOT Analysis:
Strengths:
• The products being offered are affordable.
• We are not only offering affordable products, but also good looks as the
original product.
• All the members of the group are responsible enough to perform their assigned
tasks.
Weaknesses:
• The product we have been locally made.
• The trademark of our product was unknown.
• The group sometimes failed to do both our school requirements and the duty
that we have in our own company.
Opportunities:
• More consumers especially who looked for affordable clothes come to our
stall.
• We can return the unsold product to the supplier especially the term were
consignment.
Threats:
• The business is operating in Robinson’s mall where there are already a lot of
competitors.
• There are a lot of food companies in the Entrep Corner.
• Instead of buying products in the Entrep Corner, the consumers tend to buy
what they need directly from the different stores in the mall area.
VI. Lesson Learned:

• Since I grew up with this kind of business, I was planning to established my

own company or put some business after graduation. I don’t want to be
employed for the rest of my life because I saw growing the importance of
having alternative source of income.
• Through this activity, I gathered more ideas on what business will
caught the public attentions. I now understand more clearly the problem that
my mother having been through in our business, also the threats that we
encounter if I have to pursue the business I have plan someday.
• This activity started when we have regular class, I find it difficult, I
need to be flexible on matter scheduling my personal activity and things to
do. I became more careful and organize when it comes to paper works, for
me it is really hard to be a student and an entrepreneur at the same time, more
difficulties and conflicts I have encountered, and maybe it’s just a matter of
time table and time management.
• I also learned how to enhance my public relation to other people
especially when I am dealing with our product. I have fun time bonding with
my classmates and their other friends who supported us, because I saw them
panic and react when the problem arise in our stall during business
operations.
• This activity, I can say is not just mere academic requirement for us,
but through this we may learn that we can make better individuals.

B. EVALUATION:
a. Were there parts of the business operation you feel unnecessary? What are those and why
not?
All the activities done for the business operations are necessary the defense that
we have undergone under the mall management as well as the schedule during the
opening and the rest.

b. What other activities should be included in the business activity?

The activities of business that might include in operation is the owner must knew
what’s the style demand or in. What is the price bracket that the consumer might afford,
or is it fit to sell the product in mall or just in public market.
Since there is opening during the activity, I think it will be necessary to have a
closing program as well, in the end of this activity, the head management can give or tell
the group the idea on how much sales they have during the business operation.

c. Did you feel creating your own business after experience? Why or why not?
I have mentioned earlier that I grew up with this kind of business that’s why my
desire or love of having my own business someday. This activity proved to me that it is
not easy to start or have business, lot of problems and threats I might encounter as the
business runs. But if you are determined and have patient to reach your goal and
objectives time will come the success will be in you.

d. The activity I felt most useful was the part wherein we have given the chance to do
market testing in La Salle. The activity I felt most useful was having control to myself in
connection of stress physically and emotionally and to deal other people in terms of
selling.

Shanghai Hand-Pulled Noodles Restaurant

Description of the entrepreneurs and business

Shanghai Hand-Pulled Noodles Restaurant has started on January, year

2008. It is owned by the four Young siblings and is located at Quezon City,
Manila. As first-timers in the field of entrepreneurship, the owners want to have a
unique business.
When there are special gatherings or occasions here in the Philippines, it has
been a tradition to have pasta or pancit in the menu list because people believe
that the noodles signify long life. This is the reason why the owners had thought of
building up a restaurant wherein noodles are the primary food being offered. But
since most of the other restaurants already established are using machine-based
noodles, they thought of how they can make their noodles unique from the others;
and the Shanghai hand-made noodles caught their attention. They brought the
idea of using hand-pulled noodles instead of machine-based noodles here in the
Philippines.

They started with the capital worth P1M – each sibling contributing P250,000.
This was used for the construction of the building, for the buying of utensils and
equipments for the restaurant. They started out of scratch but due to their hard
work and patience, they have already built up their second branch also located at
Quezon City, Manila.

What forces drove them to entrepreneurial decision process?

Their will to offer quality noodles that is rare here in the Philippines. They
said that there is only one store in Manila that offers hand-pulled noodles which
is located in Binondo that’s why they decided to create their own store in Quezon
City. Also, they are half Chinese and as we know Chinese loves noodles that is
why they decide to engage in this kind of business
