Console Systems
A console system hosts desktop applications, such as
consoles, viewers, and Web browsers.

To monitor and manage from the Web, point a browser to


the PATROL Central - Web Edition Web site, where the
PATROL Central Operator console module is installed.
To monitor and manage from Microsoft Windows, use the
PATROL Central Operator console module for PATROL
Central Microsoft Windows Edition.

Common Services
A common service processes data from managed systems
and facilitates communications between managed systems
and console systems.
The RTserver Cloud provides message brokering required
to facilitate shared communications.
The PATROL Console Server provides a centralized
repository of management, security, and administration
information related to product users.

Managed Systems
A managed system hosts software that manages or
monitors the resources on the system.
The PATROL Agent on each managed system manages
and monitors resources based on the PATROL solutions
(KMs) installed.
