The National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health is dedicated to building

a cadre of Latina leaders to further the movement for reproductive justice.
We seek to strengthen the voices of Latinas, and enable Latinas to be
recognized as a powerful constituency with the capacity to influence policies
that directly impact our lives, our families and our communities. The LOLA
Trainings are a step towards this goal, and we welcome activists from
varying levels of social justice experience. LOLA is designed to be a space
where we can share our experience, learn new skills, and strategize around
a reproductive rights campaign.
Our next LOLA training will take place on September 18-20, 2015 in
Houston, TX. This intensive two and a half day training will provide Latina/o
activists with sessions on: the history of the reproductive rights movement,
community organizing models and specific skills building tools to prepare
participants with the knowledge and resources for launching a campaign.
After the training, LOLA graduates will continue to be part of NLIRH's larger
network of Latina advocates as well as become leaders on reproductive
health issues in their communities.
To Apply: Please fill-out and return the enclosed application. After we review
your application NLIRH staff will schedule a short interview with participants.
It is a competitive process and we have a limited number of spots. If you are
selected to participate, please be prepared to make a commitment for two
and a half days of training. The training is free and we provide breakfast,
lunch and childcare.

El Instituto Nacional de Latinas para la Salud Reproductiva (NLIRH) tiene
como objetivo formar un grupo diverso de lideresas y lderes latinos para
promover el movimiento en favor de la justicia reproductiva. Nuestra meta es
fortalecer las voces de las Latinas y empoderarlas para que sean
reconocidas como un grupo poderoso con la capacidad de influenciar las
polticas que impactan directamente nuestras vidas, nuestras familias y

nuestras comunidades. Los entrenamientos LOLA (Latinas Organizndose

para el Liderazgo y la Abogaca), son un paso adelante para alcanzar estas
metas, por lo que invitamos a activistas de diferentes niveles y experiencias
en el mbito de la justicia social. Los entrenamientos LOLA estn diseados
para ser un espacio en donde podamos compartir nuestra experiencia,
aprender nuevas habilidades y trabajar estratgicamente en una campaa
de derechos reproductivos.
Para registrarse: Por favor llene esta aplicacin. Despus de revisar los
formularios, el personal de NLIRH realizar una breve entrevista telefnica
con las(os) participantes. Debido a que contamos con un cupo limitado,
ponemos mucha atencin en el proceso de seleccin y reclutamiento de
participantes. Si usted es una de las personas seleccionadas para ser parte
de nuestra sexta promocin de graduadas(os) de LOLA, por favor preprese
para hacer el compromiso de asistir los tres das al entrenamiento. El
entrenamiento es gratis para todas(os) las(os) participantes y proveeremos
alimentacin y servicio de cuidado de nios y nias.
