In case of malfunction, please, provide us following information:
Declaration of Conformity
The device complies with relevant European directives (CE declaration of conformity):
Electromagnetic compatibility (ULRS, no. 132/2006)
Directive 2004/108/EC and its amendments
Low voltage Directive (ULRS, no. 27/04)
Directive 2006/95/EC and its amendments
2. 3. Connections
Photometer is connected to the mains power supply 230 V AC and to the tunnel light
controlling system. All connections are done from the back side with cover removed. Cables
of 3-9 leads and minimum 0.75 mm2 must be used for 230 V AC power outputs. For
analogue U/I outputs and communication coaxial 2-4 lead data cables are recommended.
Maximum connection distance is up to 400 metres.
After final connection and successful commition place desiccant bag provided in the
photometers housing and push it towards front window. Take care it is not touching any
electrical part! Cable inlet-glands and back cover must be well tightened after final
connection!

Green LEDs indicate estimated switch-level combination (no averaging delay) due to current
light condition. Red LEDs indicate current status of 230 V AC outputs (averaging affected).
For example : At first level LED-A is lit when light conditions are within the limit set for L1.
After preset averaging time, the red LED-A and contactor output A will be switched on.

NOTE:
When using analog outputs, fixed range 1..3 option or auto range option with frequency
output configured for range indication should be chosen and relevant range constantly read
and applied in equations!
2. 5. Calibration
Each photometer is incarefully factory calibrated. Calibration date and information are stored
in devices memory and also visible on side sticker. Recommended recalibration interval is 2
years.
Recalibrations:
Range
Use Range setting to define measuring sub-range of the photometer. Always use the
lowest range possible, taking care that light level never exceeds it. In Auto Range mode
photometer switches ranges according to light conditions and offers best accuracy. Use
this option when light level data acquisition is done from serial communication, frequency
port or contactor outputs. When using analog U/I outputs, choose fixed range R1-R3 or
use additional frequency port to identify the current sub-range with Auto Range mode.
Click Write button to apply any chances.

3. 3. Setting up PC Communication
Prior to communicate, the photometer must be connected to the computer and
communication properties must be set. Connect PCs COM or remote ETH/serial port to the
photometers communication port. For RS-232/485 settings on the photometer see 2.4.1
Serial communication Port in this manual.

3. 4. Data Logging
Light level monitoring and data logging parameters are set on Data Logging tab
(Picture 5).
Light Level Read field in the Configuration tab must be set to Auto to activate the data
logging. Table, graph and data file are updated every time when Light Level data is read
from photometer. Logging interval is time in minutes between two readings. The
numerical data between 1 and 60 minutes can be selected. If number 0 is selected, than
logging interval is 1 second.
To save logged data click Export button and save *.txt file to your computer. The dialog
window appears to select the name and file location.
14
Click Clear button to clear all logged data from table and graph. To monitor specific data
closely select the data range in table and click Zoom button.
Data logging is paused by any click on table. To continue set the Auto option in Light
Level Read field of Configuration tab again. Logging is also paused when table is
cleared, zoomed or when data are being exported.

5. 1. Environmental Conditions
Maximum environmental temperature at use is +50 C; 24 hour average temperature
must not exceed +35 C. Lowest environmental temperature at use is 40 C. Relative air
humidity must not exceed 50 % at maximum temperature +50 C. Higher humidity is
allowed at lower temperature (like: 95 % at +20 C).
Sea-level elevation must not exceed 2000 metres. When using above 1000 metres
consider lower air dielectricity and different cooling conditions.
17
5. 3. Disposal
Lifetime of the device significantly depends on the way of use, installation, maintenance and
the working conditions. Production year is visible on the back side sticker. Deteriorated or
ruined device dispose to the place for industry electronic-components disposal according to
local regulation.
Components particularly danger for environment (batteries, chemicals, etc.) dispose to
special places.
6. CE Declaration of Conformity
CE declaration of conformity ensures that device is safe for use and it has been checked
and tested to the specified standards. CE statement is enclosed.
7. Warranty Obligations
Manufacturer of the device ensures that the product will work in accordance to specification
for the time of limited warranty of 1 year. For this time we take full responsibility and costs
(transport not included) for removal of any malfunction due to materials or workmanship.
Warranty does not cover any mechanical damage or damage being result of natural cause
or unprofessional use.
