[A] COMPANY BACKGROUND

Mingu International Trading Sdn. Bhd. History could be traced back to the root of business that
was conducted as small scale hardware, construction material dealer in 1973 by the name of
Emico Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. situated in Bachang, Melaka, Malaysia. The main business core was
to sell and distribute construction material and Nippon Paint. As business grew and having
foreseen the need to offer a wider product range to customers, the operation hub of business, then
re-located in warehouses in both Malim Jaya and Bukit Rambai industrial area. Through the
expansion of business and having perceived that there is another niche market waiting to be
explored, Mingu International Trading was formed in 2005.
Mingu International Trading Sdn. Bhd. main scope of business is to import construction raw
material such as steel bar, wired rod, flat product (such as galvanized coil, GA coil, preprinted
coil, congregated sheets (Lion King Brand), roofing system product such as fiberglass wool (Lion
King Brand), galvanized mesh (Lion King Brand), heated insulation product such as aluminum
foil, and etc.
We also provide 'ONE STOP' value added service that includes Recoiling, Slitting and Shearing
services as well as produce and supply Ridge Capping, Wall Flashing, Valley Gutter; to supply
Ceiling Tee, Air-Cond Ducting, Purlin and etc.
Our company ideology is "Continuous Business Creativity & Innovation" as well as to perform
good deeds by giving back to the needs of society; with the hope of imposing "Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR)" value amongst the workforce of the company. This, will not only further
enhance ties between all co-workers, but also to cultivate a caring team of workforce to improve
the quality of life for their families as well as to the society.

Mingu International Trading Sdn. Bhd. main scope of business is to import construction raw

As a firm in the current market situation, we face a lot of challenges which some are small some
are big but we still manage to perform according to the market tide. Our main success is our
employee. Frankly speaking without them we cant come this far. Their dedication and spirit to
stay with us in every kind of situation no matter good or bad, this made us stronger day by day.
Due to this factor, we have recently established a Human Resource department to guide and to
fulfil our employee needs and wants. This is to ensure a good relationship between the employer
and the employee in the working environment. By doing so, we may able to reduce the domestic
problems between the employees and employer. As the current generation Y mostly preferred to
jump on to one firm to another without the consciousness of loyalty, we made sure such issue will
be reduced. To avoid this we have given our employee the right training and motivation they
need. Providing such training will strengthen their career development for their future prospect.
We also apply the term FAMILY where any employee, regardless the position we give them the
freedom of speech, where they personally can meet the Human Resource manager or the director
without bypassing any bureaucratic formalities.
In order to stand out from the rest of the competitor, we have introduced an innovative product
which is the new plastering solution technology. The new plastering solution technology, its the
next generation of plastering, where it will reduce the hairline cracks, provide a consistent
quality, required less labour force, reduce on material wastage, lower maintenance cost, compare
to the conventional plastering system. (More information on the new plastering solution
technology and its video is attached to a thumb drive)
Apart from that, strong relationship between our suppliers and customers are the pillars of our
success. First of all, our suppliers. As we are going through backward integration, we started to
sell raw material to our supplier. The finish goods from our supplier will be sold back to us with a
competitive price. This barter trade system has shown us great potential in the recent economic
downturn.
In order to provide competitive price to our customers, we have decided to move upstream, from
wholesaler to PVC pipes and metal roofing manufacture. Our raw material for PVC Pipes and
metal roofing comes from both local and foreign countries. By moving upstream through the line
of production, we are able to reduce cost of purchasing. The manufacturing plant is our key factor
of development and the growth.
After we had moved on upstream and downstream, we need a solid ground to expose our
product in the market. This is where our new and innovative alternative channels come in. One of
our alternative channels are, webpage. Through our webpage, we are able to expand our market
to worldwide where the potential customers and suppliers are astronomical. Another alternative
channel is mobile commerce. In the field of selling building material and as a wholesaler we are
the very few doing mobile commerce. We received a very good feedback through mobile
commerce.
As we are growing, so do our concern towards the environment and the way we organized our
manufacturing plant. The 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and 5S (Sort, Set in order, Systematic

Cleaning, standardized, Clean up, Sustain) is our vein of operation in the daily operation. This
approach has made a great impact on our manufacturing plant where we reduce costs, operate
efficiently, and also increase productivity.
As a growing company, we emphasize on CSR, where we have consciousness towards the
environment, towards our employees and finally towards the societys wellbeing. All these
factors are well embedded in our working environment. For the environmental factor, we are
implementing 3R in order to reduce the wastage, so that we may reduce the carbon footprint so
that the future generation may live and prosper what we have built now. For the employee factor,
we make sure our employees is not always about work, therefore we have arranged a basketball
tournament (as shown in Picture 1) where the employees and their children can bond together, not
only among them but also among the other employees. As for the societys wellbeing, we are
visiting and donate every year to the Happiness Center for Mentally Disabled Children at
Klebang Melaka. (As shown in Picture 2 & 3).
