rgonomics, its technical or say

book definition is The applied

discomfort.
But I understand Ergonomics is a science with much of
common sense required in it. It deals with very much minute
work details with respect to work practices either adopted by
the employees or work practices which are forcefully adopted
by employees because of equipment/working condition.
Ergonomics can be easily trickled down-the-line; only if
workers / employees get to know about importance of their
body and various organs.

Spinal Cord and its importance;

will definitely trigger the eargness of employees to save

themselves,

through

implementations.
Ergonomics can be practiced in broadly two ways, i.e. either
through different models available and developed or through
Real Time Monitoring i.e. video clippings of actual workposture and then arriving to a more practical and easy

workable solution. The latter provides a better reach toward

organization. Also, it provides you with more practical, cost

effective and user-friendly solutions.
Key Questions
When an Ergonomics study / implementation is conducted;
following key-elements, shall enable better applicabilities:
What is the work area?
What is the kind of work/application?
What is the standard work practice; required?
What is the work practice adopted by the employee?
What is Medical Practitioners observation towards any
specific kind of complaints from specific department?
How long the work / job / task being conducted?
How is the response of employee? (Sometimes, we always get
negative response from employee; but it is our judgment towards its
response)

How fast is the work/job/task being conducted?

Is this work / job / task been rated based on target
productions?
What are the working environment conditions?

Spinal (Vertebral) Column
It consists of series of 33 irregularly
shaped bones called Vertebrae.
In

between

vertebrae,

are

intervetebral discs.
The fibrous cartilage; enables it to
absorb shocks and it allows us to move
It allows us to stand up-right and maintain our
balance
It also have other important functions, such as,
supporting

our

head

and

arms,

ribs

and

muscles.
It most importantly, protects spinal cord
which controls most bodily functions.

Spinal Cord
It is directly connected to brain
It is about the diameter of human
finger
It is surrounded and protected
with a bony vertebral column
The level of spinal cord segments
do not relate exactly to the level of
the vertebral bodies i.e. damage
to the bone at a particular level.
