Start by facing the Qibla, make an intention (for the sake of Allah and to remove ritual impurity)

and utter a rememberence which the recommended is to say bismillah. Wash both hands up to the
wrists 3 times starting with the right hand. While performing your wudu recite the transmitted
duas/invocations. At the start of washing each limb say bismillah. While washing try not to use
used(water already used for wudu ie from splashing) and wash yourself without assistance. Make
sure that wudu is performed before the time of the prayer comes in so that you are ready when the
time comes in. When washing any limb make sure that you are also rubbing them with your hands
to guide the water over your limbs, also make sure that you perfrom your wudu with continuity
(without excessive intervals so that the previos limb should not dry). Rinse the mouth out 3 times
with water and it is recommended that you take the water to the back of the throat if you are not
fasting. Along with the rinsing of the mouth you brush your teeth with a miswak, toothbush or if
this is not available a coarse cloth or fingers can also be used. Rinse the nose 3 times with water by
inhaling a little bit of water up until the bone and then exhaling the water, it's recommended to take
the water up just slightly past the bone if you are not fasting for a more thorough rinsing. Wash the
face at least once which is the area from the normal hairline down to the bottom of the chin at the
jaw bone and earlobe to earlobe but not including the earlobes, if you have a thick beard then
consider the beard as the skin and wash over it but if it is thin make sure that the water penetrates
through to the skin. Wash your face a total of 3 times starting from the forehead and then make sure
you comb your beard through with wetted fingers. Wash both arms at least once up to and including
the elbows. Make sure that you wash both arms 3 times starting with the right arm from the tips of
the fingers to the elbow and when you are finished interlace your fingers. Wipe the head once
making sure that water has struck the limb and that at least of the head is wiped approximately
the size of your hand but best is to wipe the full head with your hands from the front of your head.
Wipe the ears with your index fingers for the insides and the back of the ears with the thumbs and it
is recommended to put the little fingers inside the holes of the ears. Wipe the back of your neck with
your hands.Wash both feet up to and including the ankles at least once to fullfill the obligation but
you should make sure you do it 3 times starting with the right foot and then interlace the toes with
your small finger starting from your small toe of the right foot ending with the small toe of the left
foot. Say the two shahaddas at the end of your wudu. Make sure that all the actions mentioned are
followed in the sequence according to the Quran which is also the sequence given here.
