3. Minimum age as on 31/3/2010 : 3+

4. Registration Form will be available from the School Office : 15th to 22nd December ’09
on all working days ( 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. )

5. Last date of submission of filled up Registration forms : 22nd December ’09 upto 4.00 p.m.

6. Declaration of first admission list : 6th Jan.’10, at 4.00 p.m.

7. List of supporting documents to be produced by the parents at the time of admission:

(c) Photograph of Father, Mother and the Child ( one each )

C. Cancellation of Admission of Selected Candidates and Fees Refund

a) If the request for cancellation is submitted in writing on or before 31st January, 2010, full fee
will be refunded.

b) For any request of cancellation of admission submitted between 1st and 15th February, 2010,
only 40% fee will be refunded.

c) For any request of cancellation of admission submitted between 16th and 28th February, 2010,
10% fee will be refunded.

d) For cancellation of admission after 1st March, 2010, there will not be any refund except of the
caution money.

APEEJAY SCHOOL SAKET – AN INTRODUCTION

The school was ranked seventh amongst 250 top schools across the country by the “Education
World” magazine in an intensely competitive ranking survey undertaken by IMRB International, one
of the India’s most respected pioneering research firms that took into account numerous holistic
parameters associated with school education. The survey was conducted in the year 2007. The
school has received a commendable rating for its academic reputation, co-curricular education,
honesty and integrity of the school management.

INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES

Well Equipped Laboratories:

With the development in the field of science and technology, we facilitate our students with well
equipped laboratories for Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Home Science and Electronics.
Children have an easy access to these facilities under the supervision and expert guidance of the
teachers. For the primary section, we have Mobile Laboratories on trolleys.

Library:

The school library is a vast reservoir of books. A wide range of fiction, poetry, prose, philosophical
books, magazines and newspapers are available for readers. The school is also the member of the
British Council Library and books are issued from BCL on a regular basis.

Computer Education:

We have Computer Laboratories with Pentium based multimedia machines for providing hands on
experience to the students from Nursery to class XII. Computer Aided Learning (CAL) packages are
specially designed to make learning more interesting, leaving an incredible impression on the
students’ minds. The internet facility enables the students to draw the latest information from global
computer networks. Robotics as an activity is a recent introduction in school. This enhances the
creativity, imagination, innovation, problem solving skills and team spirit amongst the students along
with sharpening their programming skills

Science Park:

It is a cluster of interactive play models installed at one place. These models are based on scientific
principles. The concept of the park is to teach science in an informal way with exhibits that cover
many topics.

Faculty :

We have a highly qualified teaching staff which not only gives the academic knowledge but also
provides child friendly environment for developing a complete human being.
SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENTS

Abhinav Mittal topped the school in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination with
an aggregate of 93.4% in the Science Stream. He also has the unique distinction of scoring
the highest marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science.

Ranu Gupta excelled with 90.6 % in the commerce stream. He also scored the highest
marks in English and Mathematics.

In the All India Secondary School Examination, Prasidhi Arora did the school proud by
getting an aggregate of 94.6%. She scored the highest marks in Mathematics, Science and
Social Science. She also achieved a perfect 100 in Mathematics and is a recipient of
Certificate of Merit for being among the top 0.1 % of successful candidates in Mathematics
and General Science.

CO-SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENTS

Sports:

Our students actively participate in sports and games to be mentally and physically fit.
In a short span of three years two of our students have been selected to play Basketball at
the national level. Harshita Puri played basketball at the national level in the year 2007.
Vinay Aditya Reddy of Class –X captained the Delhi Basketball team in the Under-17
category in the year 2008 and this year too he is the captain of the state basketball team.
He has also been conferred with the Most Promising Player of the basketball tournament
organised by Delhi Development Authority.

In basket ball we were runners up in girls U-19, boys U-19 and boys U-14 teams at the
zonal level. Harshita Puri and Tripti Bhure of class XII also played at the Inter-zonal level and
their team won the second position.

In the DDA Invitational Basketball Championship Phase I organized by Saket Sports


Complex, the boys U-17 team secured the 1st position and in the phase II of the same
competition. They bagged the third position.

The girls U-14 badminton team of our school is the Zonal Champion.

The boys U-19 table tennis team is the runners up at the zonal level.

Our students have been doing extremely well in Yoga at the Zonal and the Inter-zonal levels.
Shreya Agarwal of class VII secured the 1st position in the Sub- Junior category Yoga at
the Zonal level for the fifth consecutive year and 2nd position at the Inter- Zonal Yogasna
Championship. She has also secured the 1st position in Fifth UP State Yoga competition
held at Haridwar and 2nd position in 8th Delhi State Yoga Championship organized by Delhi
Yoga association. She will be representing Delhi in the National Yoga Competition.
Shourya Choudhary of class V bagged the 1st position in the Sub-Junior boys’ category
Yoga, while R. Ankush of class VIII and Vedant Prashar of class VII won the 2nd position in
the Senior boys and Junior boys category respectively at the zonal level.

Literary Field:

Jitin Kohli of class XII won the 1st prize in English Extempore Competition at the State
level.

Manya Gugnani of class XII too won the 1st prize at the State level, in the English Creative
Writing Competition, after wining at the Zonal and District levels,

The English Debaters of our school, Anmol Sehgal of class VIII and Seerat Grover of class-
VII, bagged the 1st position at the district level in the Junior Girls category while Anirudh
Singh Roy and Sarthak Kukreja of class VII also stood 1st both at the Zonal and District level
in the Junior boys category. In the same competition the 2nd Prize was bagged by senior girls
and senior boys teams comprising Alisha Bhalla and Chetna Malhotra of class –IX, Siddarth
Arora of class –X and Tanveer Gupta of class-XI.

In the zonal English Essay Writing Competition Prasidhi Arora of class –XI secured the
2nd prize in senior girl’s category; Sarthak Kukreja of class -VII also received the 2nd prize in
the junior boys category.

Naman Kesri of class VI, an extremely talented singer and orator, bagged the 1st prize in
English Poem Recitation at the zonal level and then received the 3rd prize at the district
level.

Hrithik Rohilla of class VI, Anmol Sehgal of class VIII and Soumya Vashist of class-IX
secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in the Hindi Poem Recitation
competition at the zonal level.

Dev Karan Singh Sehrawat of class IX received the 2nd prize for the Hindi Extempore
competition at the zonal level and Aditya Mandiwal of class VII received the 3rd prize in the
same competition and then went on to win the 2nd prize at the District Level.

After winning the 3rd prize in Hindi Declamation at the Zonal level, Kunal Goel of class VI,
bagged the 1st prize at the district level.

Alisha Bhalla and Chetna Malhotra of class IX secured 1st position in the English debate
organized by Kalka Public School.

In a Hindi skit competition organized by Birla vidya Niketan, our students of classes VI and
VII won the 1st prize.
Music:

The School Orchestra received 2nd prize in the zonal orchestra competition and
the School Band received the 1st prize at the zonal level.

In the Group Patriotic Song competition organized by G.D. Goenka Public School, our
students got the second prize and Shubham Sarkar of class X, got the first prize for being
the best Accompanist.

In the Group Classical Raga Singing competition organized by Birla Vidya Niketan, our
students received the 2nd prize.

Computer Science, Science & Technology and Mathematics:

Dhruv Jain of class VI and Sayan Dutta of class VII bagged the 2nd prize in Test Your
Science Quotient organized by Gyan Bharti School, Saket.
Rishiraj Singh of class –X and Rishabh Khanna of class-XI got the 1st Prize in Web
Designing at Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai

Utkarsh Maharana and Nehal Ahmed of class VIII received the 2nd prize in Adobe
Photoshop competition.

Aseem Upadhayay and Akshit Nangia of class IX won the 2nd prize for Computer
Animation competition, organized by Tagore International School Vasant Vihar.

Rishiraj Singh and Srishti Arora of class X bagged the 1st position in the Maths Sigma
competition organized by Don Bosco School, Alaknanda.

Special Mention

Apeejay School, Saket, has been selected as one of 23 schools in Asia Pacific including
Japan to receive a highly competitive 2009 HP Innovations in Education grant. Targeted at
school systems serving students in grades VI through XII, the grant program is designed to
help educators address the need for raising student achievement in math and science and
increase student awareness in high-tech college and career opportunities.

Apeejay School, Saket, has received an HP Innovations in Education award package of HP


technology, cash, and professional services valued at more than US$95,000. Technologies
such as wireless HP tablet PCs and HP printers will be used in innovative ways to
fundamentally redesign the student learning experience.
