Draft of Interview Questions:


We will ask quesions to two groups of people: the first group will be students who are
still finishing their studies and the second group will be young adult who have just entered
their work lives. Since it is a qualitative and flexible research, more questions maybe
added during the interview depending on the responses from the respective interviewees.

Questions for students:


1. What are you studying right now and what made you choose this subject?
a. I am doing my UG degree on BBA majoring in Marketing. I chose I
this subject as because its easy, the demand for the subject is high and
also I can have a good career.

2. Where do you see yourself in ten years in terms of your academic, professional and
personal life?
a. I would like to do PhD in abroad in my near future for my academics.
For professional I would like to settle myself in any of the MNCs.
3. Do you think your dreams and aspirations are somehow molded or affected by your
gender? Please explain.
a. Nope I dont think so. Dreams can be reflect in real if you have the
willpower and ambition.
4. How do you think your family members, friends and society, perceive your dreams
and aspirations?
a. They completely agree with my choice and supports it.
5. Do you think gender discrimination between male and female students affect their
aspirations, self-worth and what they become in their adults? Please explain your
opinion with some examples from your life.
a. Yes, I think so. As because many females have their own desires and
dream but because of family pressure they cant able to fulfill.
Moreover, if they wish to fulfill their dreams after marriage, there is a
pressure from her in-laws. So ultimately they become home-makers.

Questions for young adults who have entered their work lives:
1. Please explain your current work and why you chose this career path?
2. Where do you see yourself in five years in terms of your academic, professional and
personal life?
3. How do you think your family members, friends and society perceive what you do
today and your future aspirations?
4. Do you think your gender had anything to do with what you are doing today? How
would things have been different for you if you were from the opposite gender?
5. Do you agree that gender discrimination between male and female students affect
their aspirations and what they become in their adult lives. Please explain you
opinion with some examples from your life.
