1. Two views of an object are shown in figure 1. Draw the isometric projection of the
object (dimensions are in mm). [16]

2. (a) Draw the projections of a line CD 75 mm long, parallel to HP and inclined to
VP. The end C is 10 mm in front of VP and D is 20 mm in front of VP. The
line is 15 mm above HP. Also find the traces.
(b) A line RS 60 mm long is parallel to both planes. It is 20 mm above HP and
15 mm in front of VP. Draw its projections. [8+8]

3. Draw the elevation, plan and left and right views of the bracket shown in the figure
3 (dimensions in mm). [16]

4. A foot ball kicked from ground reaches the ground traveling a horizontal distance
of 35 m. Maximum height reached by the ball is 18 m. Trace the path of the ball
which is parabolic. (use a scale of 1:200 ). [16]

5. Draw the projections of a cylinder, base 30 mm side diameter and axis 50 mm long
resting on H.P. on a point of its base circle with the axis making an angle of 450
with H.P. and its top view making an angle of 300 with xy line. [16]

6. A rectangular plane 50 × 25 mm size is perpendicular to both H.P. and V.P. The


longer edges are parallel to H.P. The corner nearer to V.P is 15 mm from it. The
plane is 50 mm from the profile plane. Draw projections of the plane. [16]

7. A square prism, side of base 30 mm and axis 45 mm long lies on H.P. such that its
axis is parallel to both H.P. and V.P., Draw the top and front views of the prism
when

(a) its lies with one of its rectangular faces on H.P. and
(b) it lies with one of its longer edges on H.P. [16]

8. A circular ring of square cross section 25 × 25 mm and outer diameter 70 mm


stands on its rim forming letter O. Draw its isometric view. [16]

1. (a) A regular pentagon of 35 mm side has one of its edges on V.P, its plane is
inclined at 450 to V.P. Draw its projections.
(b) A regular hexagonal lamina of 30 mm side rests on H.P with its plane surface
vertical and inclined at 450 to V.P. Draw its projections. [8+8]
2. Draw the projections of the following points
(a) E is 45 mm above HP and 60 mm behind VP.
(b) F is 35mm above HP and 55mm behind VP.
(c) G is 35 mm below HP and 35 mm behind VP.
(d) H is 60 mm below HP and 45mm in front of VP. [4+4+4+4]
3. Two views of an object are shown in figure 3. Draw the isometric projection of the
object (dimensions are in mm). [16]

4. A frustum of a hexagonal pyramid, side of top and bottom 25 mm and 40 mm
respectively with 50 mm height rests with its base on H.P. Its axis is perpendicular
to V.P. with the top away from the V.P. Draw the orthographic views and provide
the isometric projection. [16]
5. A thread of length 165mm is wound round a circle of 40 mm diameter. Trace the
path of end point of the thread. Draw a tnagent & normal at any point P. [16]
6. Draw the projections of a hexagonal prism, side of base 30 mm and axis 60 mm
long resting with one of the edges of its base on H.P. its axis is inclined at 300 to
the H.P. and the top view of the axis at 450 to xy line. [16]

8. (a) Draw the projections of a cone, base 75 mm diameter and axis 100 mm long,
lying on one of its generators on the V.P. with axis parallel to the H.P.
(b) Draw the projections of a cube of 30 mm edge, resting in the H.P. on one of
its corners with a solid diagonal parallel to both H.P and V.P. [8+8]

1. (a) Draw the projections of cylinder of base 40 mm diameter, axis 50mm long,
resting on ground on its base.
(b) A cone of base 50 mm diameter, axis 60mm long, is resting on VP on its base.
Draw its projections. [8+8]

2. Two views of a casting are shown in figure 2. Draw the isometric view of the casting
(dimensions are in mm). [16]

3. A hexagonal prism of 30 mm side rests with one of its edges on H.P. and one of
the faces containing that edge is inclined at 300 to the H.P. The edge on which the
prism rests is parallel to V.P. Draw its projections. [16]

4. A line MN is 70 mm long. It’s mid -point is 30 mm above HP and 25 mm in


front of VP. The line is inclined at an angle of 450 to HP and 350 to VP. Draw its
projections.

5. A hollow hexagonal prism, side of base 35 mm and axis 50 mm and thickness 10


mm rests with one of its faces on the H.P. Its axis is perpendicular to V.P. Draw
the orthographic projections and provide the isometric view of the solid. [16]

7. A semi-circular plate of 80mm diameter has its straight edge in the V.P. and inclined
at 450 to the H.P. The surface of the plate makes an angle of 300 with the V.P.
Draw its projections. [16]

8. A circle of 60 mm diameter rolls without slipping on the outside of another circle


of diameter 150 mm. Show the path of a point on the periphery of the (generating)
rolling circle, diametrically opposite to the initial point of contact between the
circle. [16]

1. Draw the projections of a cylinder, base 30 mm diameter and axis 40 mm long,


resting with a point of its base circle on V.P. such that the axis is making an angle
of 300 with V.P. and its top view perpendicular to xy line. [16]
2. Construct an ellipse, with distance of the focus from the directrix as 50 mm and
eccentricity as 2/3. Also draw normal and tangent to the curve at a point 40 mm
from the directrix. [16]
3. Two views of an object are shown in figure 3. Draw the isometric projection of the

6. (a) A square prism side of base 40 mm and axis 50 mm long, has an edge of its
base in H.P. Its axis is inclined at 600 to H.P. and parallel to V.P. Draw its
projections.
(b) Draw the projections of a cube of 40 mm edge, resting in the H.P. on one of
its corners with a solid diagonal parallel to both H.P and V.P. [8+8]

7. A regular pentagon of 30 mm sides, has one of its corner on VP and Its surface is
inclined at 600 to VP .The edge, opposite to corner on VP, makes an angle of 450
with HP. Draw the projections of the plane. [16]

8. The distance between the projectors of two ends of a straight line is 40 mm. The
lower end is 15 mm above HP and 10 mm in front of VP. The upper end is 40 mm
above HP and 40 mm in front of VP. Find true length and true inclination. [16]
