Diagram 1 shows an aquarium with length 120 cm and width 45 cm. A piece of glass divides the
aquarium into two equal partitions, X and Y.
Rajah 1 menunjukkan sebuah akuarium dengan panjang 120 cm dan lebar 45 cm. Sekeping kaca
membahagikan akuarium itu kepada dua bahagian yang sama besar, X dan Y.

Kamal pours sand into the aquarium. In partition X, the height of sand is 2 cm from the base of the
aquarium. The volume of sand in Y is half of the amount in X. He placed two stones of volume 150
cm3 and 100 cm3 respectively into Y. He pours water into both partitions until the water level is 42
cm from the base of the aquarium.
Estimate the difference in the volume of water, in ml, in partition X and Y.
Kamal mencurahkan pasir ke dalam akuarium itu. Dalam bahagian X, ketinggian pasir ialah 2 cm
dari dasar akuarium. Isi padu pasir dalam bahagian Y ialah separuh daripada isi padu pasir dalam

Mansur plans to build a rectangular garden with the area of 75 m2. The length of the garden is more
than its width by 2.5 m. He also plans to build a pathway which consists of 5 equal circular step
stones that touches each other in the middle of the garden as shown in Diagram 5.
Mansur bercadang untuk membina sebuah taman yang berbentuk segi empat tepat dengan luas
