MISSIONARIES OF AFRICA (THE WHITE FATHERS) Next weekend we welcome Fr Frank
Nolan who will be speaking about the work of the Missionaries of Africa. There will be a retiring
collection held.

SERVICE OF WORD AND HOLY COMMUNION Due to holidays during August on Wednesday
mornings there will not be a Service of Word and Holy Communion.
DECEASED Please pray for Raymond Swinney RIP who died recently, his Funeral Service will
be on Monday, 10th August at 1.15pm in Our Lady of Peace, followed by burial at Slough
Cemetery. Also please pray for Eugene Murphy RIP who died last week, Eugenes body will be
received into Our Lady of Peace Church on Wednesday, 12th August at 4.00pm and his
Requiem Mass will be on Thursday, 13th August at 1.45pm, followed by cremation at Slough
Crematorium. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

MISSIO MAGNIFICENCE! On behalf of MISSIO, many thanks for the huge generosity of Red

has not been able to contact you yet, please bring your box to Mass and leave it with a known

VOLUNTEERS needed for the London Run Sandwich-makers at St Peter's on Monday mornings
7.15am-8.15am which includes coffee and cakes for helpers. Just turn up if you can help.
CAN YOU HELP? St Andrews Shared Church Foodbank distribution point for Cippenham.
Every Wednesday 11am-2.00pm. They need volunteers to work alongside Foodbank in St
Andrews, working on a rota. Full training will be given. For further information please contact

ADORATION of the Blessed Sacrament prior to the 6.00pm Mass on Saturdays, beginning at
5.15pm. Please respect the Lord and those who would like to pray by maintaining silence in

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT every Monday at Our Lady of Peace from
7.00pm to 8.00pm. All welcome to join in Contemplating the Face of Christ through prayer,
praise and stillness. There is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Worship, Scripture,

THE SEVEN MANSIONS OF PRAYER Eight weekly teachings on the Spiritual life with Catholic
Evangelist, Derek Williams. How to have an intimate encounter with God in Prayer. Every
Tuesday evening beginning on 8th September until 27th October at St Andrews Shared Church,
Cippenham. Each evening will begin at 7.00pm with the Divine Mercy in song. For further

ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL On Friday, 11th September the House of Commons will debate and
vote on a Bill to legalise assisted suicide. This will put the most vulnerable people in our society
at risk. Please contact your MP, urging them to attend the debate and vote against the Bill. You
can send an e-mail to your MP via the Catholic Bishops Conference
website (www.catholicnews.org.uk/assisted-suicide) or send a letter by post, a draft of which can
be found at the back of the Church.
SLOUGH FOODBANK This years Ride for Food will take place on Sunday 13th September at
12.30pm starting from Slough Cinema. 24 miles (approx.) around the lovely Berkshire
countryside through Windsor Great Park to Dorney. Bring your own lunch and bring money for
the ice cream stop at Dorney, before returning for about 5.00pm. All are welcome but children

WALSINGHAM Annual Pilgrimage of Reparation and Prayer for the Sanctity of Life, on Sunday
27th September, led by Rt Rev Philip Egan, Bishop of Portsmouth. All are invited to unite in this
