COMPANY OVERVIEW

Unilux Electronics Pvt. Ltd was formed in April 2014 as the first startup venture to be set up
under the roof of the U4N group; Unilux plays a pivotal role in the expansion and development
of the group in itself and to gain a base for the starting of other ventures in future.
Unilux Electronics Pvt. Ltd was formed to enhance the present day lighting Industry by making
new and advanced technology available to the people, in a cost effective way. The company
plans on implementing LED based lighting system into the present day world by replacing
conventional lighting equipments like Incandescent or CFL bulbs. The reason for the company
to choose LED based lighting systems and to take a step on to the business world with a new
technology rather than stepping in with help of a presently established technology like CFL was
the following.
The initial and main reason was the vision of the Founders of the company to help the nature and
conserve it from pollution. Many even dont know the conventional lighting products that we use
at present like CFL has many hazardous materials like mercury content in it which is hazardous
for human being and all the surroundings and is a main polluting agent. The CFL also comes
with a powdered coating which we see in white color in the glass of the CFL which depletes or
vanishes with time and when that happens the UV rays from the CFL start penetrating that
powder coating actually acts like shield and flows out of the bulb there by reaching the outer
atmosphere damaging the skins of persons nearby and in the structure in which the bulb has been
lit up.
The Mercury which was explained earlier is a toxic substances and when a CFL breaks or a Tube
breaks it just reacts with oxygen in the air to form mercuric oxide which when inhaled causes
serious health issues to mankind especially the future generation. The mercuric Oxide poisoning
is a passive process and the result wont come out at once the poisoning has happened but its a
slower one which when reaches the human body may even cause genetic variations in the DNA
of the future generation there by reducing the IQ level of the future generation. The negative
impact of higher content of mercury can even result in childrens with disabilities.
In the present day world CFL is used in 90% of the houses, commercial and industrial buildings
and the interesting thing is that CFL which consist of Mercury which is considered as a
poisonous substance is thrown out in the open without any proper safety measures. Thousands of
CFLs from Commercial building is dumped into the junkyard with other components like food
waste and other items and poor children along with poor families who live by selling scrap and
eating waste in India are getting exposed to it day by day. There are thousands and lakhs of
people who depend on these scraps and getting exposed to this highly toxic mercury, may be the
company cant save all those lakhs of people from these poor condition but the company can sure
protect lakhs and crores of people who without knowing the danger of the CFL throws it out of
their house in the open and gets exposed to radiation afterwards.

The company has thus been formed which uses LED in all its products and not CFL with a vision
to eradicate the roots of these harmful CFL which makes the Intelligence future generation dull.
What we aim is lighting that helps in the formation of a future generation who are intelligent and
eco-friendly in nature as we the U4N Group and Unilux Electronics believe lighting plays an
important role in the shaping of a future generation who are people with high level of IQ and a
high level of reasoning skill. That is the reason why we strive to provide healthy and nature
friendly light whit zero toxic substances.
Why we use LED also has another reason that is the Carbon emission. The lighting equipments
that we use in the present day emit carbon dioxide as a bi product of lighting. For example in
CFL light is generated due to the emission of ions from the cathode and this emission generates
carbon dioxide along with heat CO2 is a greenhouse gas and is also not good for the atmosphere
as it causes global warming. The LEDs on the other hand generates temperature but as it is the
semiconductor which reacts and create electron flow which is formed as light the carbon dioxide
content emitted is in a very small content as compared to CFL, Hence making it more efficient
and more reliable than CFL and conventional lighting equipments.
LED is also preferred because of its extended life time. The conventional lighting equipments
only last for about a year where LEDs can last up to five years and can give you healthy and ecofriendly light without any disturbances

COMPANY VISION
Vision of the company is to make the world a better place to live in and to
play its part in the green revolution that is on going on in this century at present. The aim
of the company is also to make provisions in employing LED lights in Kerala and India to
overcome the current energy crisis that is going on at present. The company also aims at
changing the present lighting industry to something new n innovative in nature.
