Alert Raised at Colombia Volcano (December 5, 2011)


Colombia's Galeras volcano is stirring again. Officials raised the volcano's alert level to code "orange"
after an increase in earthquake activity at the summit. The increased alert means the volcano

2010.
Galeras lies in the Andes Mountains of southwestern Colombia, 335 miles (540 km) from the nation's
