DISCLAIMER
Hypothetical or simulated performance results have
certain inherent limitations unlike actual performance
record: simulated results do no not represent actual
trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been
executed, the results may have under- or
overcompensated of the impact, if any, of certain market
factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading
programs in general are also subject to the fact that they
are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No
presentation is being made that any account will or is
likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those
predicted or shown.
WEEK #2
REVIEW
Hi Steven,
If there is 24-hour trading session, there always will be a period of time
when you are unable to trade. If one trades daily charts, next daily bar starts
at 6:00pm ET. The perfect example is a signal sent yesterday for Strategy
#4. EUR/JPY hit the entry price at 3:10am ET (approx) and then hit the stop
price at 8:30am ET. So during the night we would have the entry signal and
a stop-loss signal. So how can anyone trade that without
automated trading?
If we look at intraday trading, the night eventually comes and we suspend
our trading. But new bars will appear. New signals for exits of entries will be
generated and we will miss them. And the more important question - should
we take those missed bars into account?
