The CT 20 machine is an automatic turning

machine with a sliding headstock and a bar
capacity of 20 mm and 5 linear axes. It is
equipped with two C axes which increase its
machining capacity. The 5-axis version can
take up to 26 tools (up to 10 rotating tools as
an option), which makes it one of the bestequipped machines in its category on the
market.

The SwissNano was designed to meet the

demand for small workpieces requiring very
high precision. For example, its kinematics
enable the machine to produce two thirds
of watch movement components, from the
simple to the most complex, including cutting,

The MultiSwiss is the link between multispindle and singlespindle machines. The
MultiSwiss has 6 mobile spindles which use
torque motor technology to index the barrel.
It is very fast and can deliver cycle times
equal to those of cam-operated multi-spindle
turning machines. Thanks to its hydrostatic
technology, the MultiSwiss can achieve
exceptional finishes (Ra 0.15) and outstanding
tool adherence even in materials considered
difficult to machine. Despite its exceptional
performance, the MultiSwiss is extremely easy
to set up and adjust, and it is programmed
in the same way as 6 machines with 3 linear
axes, which means you don't need to be an
expert in multi-spindle machines to operate it.

MULTISIGMA
AND MULTIALPHA

This range of machines is perfectly equipped

to produce highly demanding parts. This
complete, global high-performance solution
is characterised by its high precision, easily
accessible work zones, bar feeder and swarf
management system. The two machines differ
in terms of secondary operations: these are

totally independent on the MultiAlpha, while

they take place on the central slide on the
MultiSigma. Both models can be equipped
with up to 2 counter spindles; on the
MultiAlpha 8x28, these enable operation
with 5 tools, each on 3 numeric axes.

machine, using a divider system which allows
workpieces up to a diameter of 16 mm to
be loaded. Positioned machining operations

TISIS: FOR COMMUNICATIONS

AND PROGRAMMING ON YOUR MACHINE
Monitoring*
TISIS enables detailed monitoring of your machine inventory. Monitoring
includes not only the status of the machines in the workshop, but also
an overview of current production: the workpiece counter, remaining
production time and the name and drawing of the workpiece are
available at any time. TISIS Tab an Android app for tablets is also
available to monitor the status of your workshop.

Selecting your tools

For each machine, TISIS has a database that contains all of the tool
resources, for example chisel holder plates, thread whirling tools,
polygon tools or milling tools. each of these tools has its own constraints,
and these are integrated in TISIS. So, if a tool is selected, only the
positions where it can be fitted on the machine will be activated. TISIS
also manages incompatibilities between the various tools. The user is
guided intuitively through the use of his machine, and each tool has its
own image to allow easy identification. Another advantage is that the
default geometries are automatically displayed when a tool is selected.

Transfer *
In addition to programming, it is possible
to transfer virtual programs to your to
your bank of machines. Better still, it is
possible to modify the program on the
machine and transfer it again to you
computer, maintaining full traceability.

Programming
TISIS enables you to program updated Tornos machines outside the
TB-DECO system. Able to manage up to three 3 channels, the ISO editor
automatically synchronises the code between the channels and uses
syntax highlighting to enable value codes to be easily distinguished.

Manufacturing test parts (developing manufacturing technology)
Complex parts? We're here to help you! If our customers encounter problems producing complex parts, Tornos provides
the option of manufacturing test parts and/or developing new technology in our Techno Center.
Commissioning help
When starting up a new machine, we will provide you with step-by-step help in preparing for production. We will not
leave you on your own with a new, unfamiliar piece of equipment even after the commissioning phase.
Study
An important part of your success is having properly trained personnel. This will make for efficient production with
minimal expenditure. We have a training centre with highly qualified instructors, who will train your personnel how to
operate our machines proficiently.

Technical documentation
Our systematic storage of information enables us to rapidly provide the necessary documentation, and efficiently answer
our customers' queries.
